Carlisle Lake — Attraction in Washington

Loved visiting here. The path and bathrooms are clean and unobtrusive. The pond is quiet and peaceful. The 1 mile path around the lake has a well planned out par course that doesn't the plethora of trees, ferns, tiny springs and the view of the lake. Small pillars stationed along the path give a informative blurb about the different trees, etc.and it was fun to identify them along the trail. The smoke stack towering over it all gave off a sense of watchfulness that added to this amazing, well preserved spot so close to Vancouver and Portland in miles and so far from all that if measured in progress,...

We love this lake. It perfect for taking the dogs to do some ball retrieval exercises in the far end of the lake. We always make sure first we don't have any fishermen near to disturb though. Then we walk the rest of the lake and it's always a good walk for us to get some exercise in. Especially nice since its about 15 minutes or less...
