Camp host Ron and his partner Linda were great at clarifying the reserved/unreserved site protocols. I appreciated the signage for the first come first serve sites. Although, there seemed to be confusion with some people about how to claim a spot, so it was somewhat chaotic.
Despite it being Labor Day Weekend the campground and site were pretty well maintained. Our campsiteās fire pit got a little rake before we arrived. The short bluff and trails around the camp were nice and our dog was able to walk those trails with us.
The Dungeness Spit informational crew was very helpful in getting recommendations to other beaches since we couldnāt hike the Dungeness Spit out to the lighthouse...

During low tide there is a sea of green and a still beauty as birds comb through the shallows. You're likely to see locals crabbing far out into the shallow mud. Surprisingly the air is clean rather than fishy.
