The Metropolitan Branch Trail is an American rail trail between the transit center in Silver Spring, Maryland, and Union Station in the District of Columbia. Part of the East Coast Greenway, it extends the Capital Crescent Trail where it merges with the active WMATA and CSX railroad tracks into the national capital.
