This store has there website set for pickup to scam people.. gratitude is not mandatory they kept cancel the order until i applied a tip .. then i purchased 2 curry shrimp an 1 cake the app said it was $74 with $11 gratitude added but when i called bank they charge $89 so i called the store told them cancel the order on my card im paying in cash ..the order was cancelled then look ed in app seen they had like i made 3 purchases so my bank was charged again $74.. i paid in cash $63 in person spoke to Nikki who claimed it would be applied back to my account by today it was a double charge she claims this my second time purchasing food online an charged a higher price .. the company is scamming on there website.. the the meals not worth the price..they makes alot of mistakes here an be rude to customers who is literally paying an keeping them in business my son food was prepared with item we did ask for cabbage an it say on try double mac .. i took an returned it the next day my son did not touch it , then the shrimp are extra tiny now an they had shells on them i was not happy with orders i have nail image eating curry an keep having to pull a tail off curry stains this nasty .. i called an the manager made an excuse saying the been having shells since they been around i never bought shrimp before from them with shell look at ur website u people nasty an scammers .. my money never returned to card an called today talk to grace who was rude telling me they only charge once talk to my bank .im telling theres 3 orders in my account including the $63 i paid in cash . im going to bbb to file complaint these people dont need to be in business scamming. Dont waste ur money please mac an cheese was dry , cabbage was over cooked.. ripping customers off .. check out pics below. An there prices jumped to high for worst service now . The food was fresh. We got a: •Small oxtail plate w/rice & peas/Mac/cabbage: Decent serving size for the price. The meat was slightly sweet, the oxtail gravy was a perfect match for the perfectly cooked rice and peas. The make is kind of a mash up between Caribbean mac pie and American baked Mac. The flavor was ok for me, nothing to write home about. The cabbage had a nice texture. Again the flavor was good but not spectacular.

•6 pc jerk wings (party wings) w extra gravy: I personally prefer whole wings for jerk. The meat to spice ratio is off w the small wings. Not sure if theu were actually smoked. Never the less, they were a good add on to the meal. The gravy is more like pan drippings and can be poured over any of your meal. It was very flavorful and not too spicy.

•Chicken patty: The reason we even ventured out was to find a beef patty and cocoa bread. They had neither. So we tried the chicken. The crust was great. The filling was a little on the curry side and had a nice kick to it. They were definitely fresh and I appreciated that.

•Sweet potato cake: Moist and delicious. It was giving carrot cake minus the accoutrements or. Very dense and moist spice cake. The cream cheese icing stole the show. I'd come back just for this cake.

Over all it was a great experience, the place was clean and we were greeted enthusiastically as soon as we entered. There was a short wait despite it being nearly empty, nothing unreasonable though. I will say, there did seem to be a lot of online/Uber orders to fill. So that may explain the wait.

On a scale of 1-10 this place gets a solid 8.5. I'll be back to try more dishes. Especially the...

I LOVE JAM DOUNG !! We have enjoyed the food so much that we often travel across town for it. So when my daughter told me that she was uptown with friends, I told her to pick something up and was content to wait for it. When she called me to place my order she stated that the app was giving her problems. When she approached the counter, she was VERY RUDELY (I was listening) told that there were no more sides available. That's to be expected. The food is delicious. When she inquired about the price for just the meat, she was VERY RUDELY told that the cost was the same. I told her absolutely not. I know that this place has great popularity but expecting customers to pay for what they will not receive is a slap in the face. I was offended and disappointed. My daughter unbeknownst to me, purchased a slice of rum cake because she knows how I enjoy it. It was soft, moist and lightly sweet but the rum was not coming through at all. I was really let down because I love to patronize this place. We've been customers for years. And I can't say that I won't return but I'm NEVER going to pay the same price for an entree, that I would for a meal. I'll take my business elsewhere before I do that. As for the rudeness, I'm not sure whom my daughter encountered but the customer service is usually good here. Maybe it was just a bad day but I'm sincerely...
