Pacific Raceways — Attraction in Auburn

This place is horribly ran and a rip off. Today I had my worst experience at pacific raceways. I arrived for test and tune. I had checked the day before and have been following them for the last month waiting for a test and tune. The day before their website stated test and tune was scheduled for today only test and Tune. After paying for my ticket and stating i was there for test and tune, the tech person informed me that I had to go back to the booth to get a different card and test and tune was canceled and it's now Grudge match 8th mile and they were now doing brakett racing today too. Since I drove about 2 hours to get there and had already paid I stayed. After 3 hours I finally got up to make a pass. After my pass about an hour and a half later I decided to go home due to the lack of organization and how long i had to wait vs how many cars were making runs. There was a big break between races. My buddy stayed and in the 5 hours he was there he only ran twice. Very unhappy with Pacific raceways changing the schedule the day of and the lack of communication to their customers. their employees seemed confused as well. In my opinion if you're combining two events together last minute without communication I shouldn't have to pay full price for tickets. Two runs in 5 hours is...

This place is not run well at all. The concessions are the usual low quality rip-off you'd expect, with service to match. Events frequently run behind schedule making it hard to get more then two or three passes after being there all day on the weekends (Test and Tune during the week is also wildly inconsistent). Case and point, went for Turbo Thunder and arrived at about 8:30 in the morning. By 1:30 our class had not been called up to get any runs in before qualifying and eliminations. Meanwhile the ridiculous number of index cars they had running in multiple small classes got four runs in, with general street cars even getting a few passes as well. Turbo Thunder vehicles? Zero.

There were not that many cars there, and they somehow couldn't run the events on time. How hard can it be? Went to the gate and demanded a full refund, but they wanted to negotiate it and only gave a partial refund! We didn't pay to sit around in a parking lot for five hours in the heat only to not get a single run in. Bottom line is this track is poorly run and not at all worth going to. If you want to run quarter mile you are better off going...

Had a very good time at the racetrack watching the NHRA Northwest Nationals. Met a few of the drivers got some autographs and pictures with them. Hang out in the pits and smell the Nitro, a little too much at times! Very exciting, my kind of day. Only bad thing that happened was when we went to the Winner's Celebration by the starting line, I had left my soft sided coolers and my seat pad in the grandstands where we were sitting in section C2, when we came back on the way out they were gone, somebody had snagged them. Other than that very good time. There were some other fans out in the parking lot that gave me, my friend some pop and some Gatorade. But it was very good time! Thank you to all the drivers and everybody who makes that all happen up there. I'm from Springfield Oregon and I will definitely be going up next year for more than likely...
