UPDATE I have since reported Post University to the authorities for fraudulent billing practices, violation of my privacy rights, failure to render services I paid for, and for verbal assault and harassment. This school misuses student information and takes no issue with violating your rights. Please DO NOT ATTEND POST UNIVERSITY. I've discussed some of the conduct below.
The school deserves ZERO stars. In my lengthy educational career, I have NEVER seen such a corrupt, unprofessional, and unethical university. I withdrew after taking a single course because of the unprofessionalism demonstrated by my professor and other university staff. The course was riddled with broken links for required assignment instructions and readings for nearly every unit, which the professor refused to help with or address. She didn’t even provide me with the PDF files. I had to get my advisor to get the documents from the program chair. Over the 8 weeks of the course, I watched as a student plagiarized 50 to 80% of his work and got away with doing so, as a student is supposed to be dismissed from the university after being caught plagiarizing 3 times, and he wasn't. This individual boasted on numerous occasions that it was his last class of the degree program, so he clearly was receiving passing grades in all the courses in the program for work he plagiarized. After watching the student plagiarize for over a month, I contacted my instructor to voice concerns over the lack of quality of work being produced and in particular, the fact that students were heavily plagiarizing their work. My professor ignored me and did not respond or reach out to speak with me. Instead, she reported me for some undisclosed reason to the program chair. He called me on the phone and began to bully and harass me into believing that plagiarism in a course is normal in a master's program, that it is for the professor to deal with, and there was nothing I could do about it. His tone was aggressive and harassing in some poor attempt to get me to keep quiet. When I made it clear to the chair that I voiced my concerns about the plagiarism to my professor in a private email and never stated anything on the discussion board or to any student, he changed his tune and began to back-pedal. It is clear the professor LIED to her boss to conceal her misconduct. The program chair also violated my privacy rights by sending a message meant for me to another student. Upon speaking with the dean of the college of my degree program, he too tried to manipulate me into believing plagiarism is normal in master's programs and showed no concern about it at all, which I found absolutely outrageous! I’ll add that my professor was an absentee faculty who stated on an open discussion forum that advocating for one’s self or other students is inappropriate, and Post University staff do not care about feedback provided by students and won’t use it to improve the quality of the education provided. Now, I have received 8 book orders I did not authorize over the last 5 weeks for a course I am not even enrolled in anymore because I withdrew completely from the university over 5 weeks ago. Every time I cancel an order I get sent another one within a day. This school engages in fraudulent activities like this long stream of book orders I did not authorize nor require since I am withdrawn from the university. The unprofessionalism of the faculty at Post University is widespread. Students are allowed to plagiarize their work, get away with it, and go on to earn degrees. The faculty are allowed to harass and bully students unchecked. Out of all the people I spoke with including the dean for my degree program, NOT ONE of them even apologized for how I was treated. The faculty dedicated themselves to harassing and trying to manipulate me into believing plagiarism (which is unethical and illegal conduct) was okay rather than holding lengthy discussions with the student that plagiarized. It is evident he was not spoken to at all since he plagiarized throughout the entire course. PLEASE AVOID...
Read moreThis online school is a sham. It started nice enough, my enrollment advisor was super. Then there was the financial advisor. And the confusion when I was assigned two academic advisors but not really. My academic advisor was super unprofessional and sometimes it would be a week before he answered my emails and forget about trying to reach him through the phone! I left messages, no one ever called back. The first class I had was a joke. They seriously charge you tuition to take a mandatory class on how to navigate their school..... this is the only online school I have ever gone to that does something like that. I don't need to be charged tuition for that! They also have a different site for EVERYTHING. How exhausting! One site to log into classes, one site with a different username and password to login to financial, another different thing to login to the student center, I had to save the email with 5 different sites and logins and passwords! This month, I viewed my bill, found a huge discrepancy with my credits and it doesn't show where they have gone, just the end of one month they were there and the beginning of the next month, they were gone. So, I called and spoke with a young lady. At first she gave me some run of the mill bs about how the online place they use isnt an accurate place to view my financial bills, which is the only online place to review my financial aid and status and how calling was best and how i had a zero balance and tried to get me off the phone, so I explained to her that there is a very large number of my credit that is unaccounted for on my billing statements, she tried to give me some more bs, and suddenly I need to look at the ITEMIZED statements on the website she told me was no good for looking at, which is what I had been looking at before I called. Then she tried more bs to placate me with adding charges and all kinds of stuff, which right there on the phone, I made the calculation and even with her payments she said accounted for it, there was still a chunk missing. So suddenly it isn't something she can do over the phone and she will have to have someone figure it out and call me back. If you enroll here, make sure you ask all the right questions and get all the answers needed and don't just take the first pile of crap answer they hand you. I am pretty sure at this point they are running some kind of scam, or they are just the bottom of the barrel as far as online schools go. I don't recommend this school to anyone. Try Kaplan or Capella, but whatever you...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience with Post University has been so disappointing that I feel obligated to speak up especially for other military-affiliated students or adult learners considering this school.
Post University markets itself as military-friendly and student-focused. In my experience, that could not be further from the truth. I currently hold both an Associate’s and a Bachelor’s degree, and recently earned a second Associate’s from a community college. I made the decision to pursue a second Bachelor’s at Post, with plans to continue to a Master’s and possibly a Ph.D. Everything started off smoothly until it came time to evaluate my transcripts.
First, they evaluated me for the wrong degree program. Then, when I finally received an updated evaluation, it was riddled with errors. Courses I clearly completed with high grades were not being accepted for transfer credit. Even worse, a class they initially did give me credit for was later taken away without explanation. Now, they are trying to make me retake a class I already completed with an (A) same course title, same content, same everything.
I’ve gone back and forth with the university for over three weeks, and still have no resolution. They claim to accept up to 90 transfer credits, but in practice, that appears to be an empty promise. More reputable schools I’ve worked with had no problem giving me credit for my hard earned courses. Post University, on the other hand, seems more interested in collecting tuition than helping students succeed.
To make matters worse, I’m not eligible for financial aid due to already holding a degree, which means I’m paying out of pocket. Asking me to retake courses I’ve already excelled in is not just unfair it’s unethical.
If you're a veteran, a working adult, or someone returning to school and expecting professionalism, transparency, or support, I strongly urge you to think twice before enrolling at Post University. Based on my experience, this institution prioritizes profit over people and gives little regard for the time, money, and effort students have already invested in...
