Beautiful long spread of a beach with a harbor. There are different entry points. It’s perfect for a long jog or walk. There are bathrooms in certain parts of the beach. We come to visit and use the harbor to load kayaks into the water. There are signs that warn of strong current & waves and swimming is not recommended. I swim alot of beaches but never this one. Only experienced surfers venture out. There are many sea animals to watch including seals, otters, dolphins, whales, sharks and birds. There’s nice sand dune vegetation. You can capture a gorgeous sunset here. There’s specific places on the beach you can take your dog because this beach has endangered bird species that breed there spring, summer and fall.

Excellent beach with lots of opportunities for wild life watching....

Plenty of space, long shores, shallow waters, a lot of Sea wild life to watch at closer proximity.

We got to see otters, seals, dolphins, and varieties of birds feasting the fish from the shallow waters all in the same afternoon. Kids will definitely enjoy the shallow waters and the birds. Having binoculars will definitely get to see the wild life even closer. The Elkhorn Slough is near by and you can take a cruise to see even more wild life.

Parking is along the trail and it may get crowded on weekends, but there's always people leaving the beach, and you can find a spot. The restrooms are just porter potties. Not squeaky clean, but it is decent enough.

If you are avid wild life photographer, this beach offers a...

We had a sudden plan to go to Moss Landing beach heard & passed by several times but never visited so thought of checking it out & boy we were so glad to be here. Weather was wonderful, not too many people before noon felt as if we had the beach for ourselves. Nice to hear the waves & sea otters completely relaxed seriously I didn’t feel like leaving the place....it’s my new favorite place to visit for unwinding 😊& also had our early lunch at Phil’s Fish Market. Once awhile sudden plans leaves us with beautiful memories it was surely one of that moments .... can’t wait to do it soon ... Also on our way back we passed through several Artichoke farms & farm stand it was a...
