Made 4/25/25 Us locals are having to drive at least an hour round trip most times to see a decent movie. Sinners is rated in the high 90s on rotten tomatoe.. Sinners is on pace to be one of the highest-grossing R-rated horror movies of all time. Unacceptable not to have that movie on yalls big screen. Then there’s Until Dawn and Warfare that would bold well with our elderly/veteran community. This issue has been ongoing for years. It’s so annoying. The theater is already old and raggedy. They could at least play ONE block buster hit while they choose to play several subpar films at once. They have 3 children movies playing at once and only one has decent reviews. The King of Kings Minecraft (48% rotten tomatoes) And Snow White (40% rotten tomatoes)which they took out from showing just to re-release it again. Snow White is a box office disaster and should be long gone out of theaters. This small community cry’s about supporting small businesses and shopping local but all they give us in Waupaca is crappy Mexican restaurants and horrible movies to choose from. Rosa theater can do MUCH better. The owner seems cheap and incompetent on how to run a theater. Looks like he only cares enough to keep the lights on and splurge a bit on himself because he surly isn’t investing in his theater or film choices. Do right by your film enthusiast because we are who keep your business afloat. Do right by us or sell the damn theater to someone who has a passion for film and not just making a quick buck. 5 stars to the staff. Big fat ZERO stars to the owner.
5/1/25 WOW CAN NOT BELIEVE THE CHEAP BASTARD WILL BE SHOWING...
Read moreI can't say enough good stuff about the Rosa Theater in Waupaca. So yesterday was the first time I went there (in over a year) in my big, electric powerchair. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get into the theater with such a big chair. I called them and they were so accommodating....they even went and measured the space for me and the doors to reassure me I wasn't going to make a useless trip into town. I fit perfectly and was even able to recline my chair backwards till I was comfortable. It is so nice to be considered a valued customer; many times the disabled are blown off. And here's the kicker-it was customer appreciation week and they didn't even make any money off of me for the movie! It was all free! The girl (I want to say her name was Arian, if I remember correctly. Give that girl a raise!) could have sighed and said I'd fit and hung up. But she didn't. She went and measured precisely for me. God bless her for that. Awesome job, Rogers Cinema Rosa Theater, and I definitely feel...
Read moreGreat little theater! We drove up from Clintonville cause it was the only theater playing the movie we wanted to see. It was the first time we'd ever been there. I love going to old theaters. The lights and sign on the outside are really cool its like stepping back in time. They even have a ticket booth on the outside. It wasn't in use but it was still cool to see. The popcorn was so good! Usually I skip movie theater popcorn cause it always makes me feel sick but I ate quite a bit of the popcorn that I bought for the kids and was totally fine. The seats were old which was expected but not uncomfortable. The whole place was very clean and well kept. That's usually my biggest issue with old theaters so it was a huge plus for me. Next time we go we'll make a day of it and spend some time shopping around town before going to the theater. All the little shops look so cool I really wanted to stop but it was already...
