Last night two umpires sat and did NOTHING when two players walked over and HIT my boyfriend on the field on TWO separate occasions. When he approached the umpires after a THIRD time it happened they threw HIM out! And NOTHING happened to these three jerks who aren't even on that team and were just filling in. EVERYONE saw what happened but these umpires didn't do anything because they either were too afraid or just didn't care. My boyfriends niece and nephew were horrified by the violence and hitting that happened on the field yet nothing was done! I will NEVER step foot in this garbage heap again! There were kids running around without shoes in the bathrooms and bleachers, kids climbing the metal poles to the covers over the bleachers, parents not watching their kids, guys smoking behind home plate. What a DUMP. The only thing more tacky were the umpires! The fat umpire and tall Frankenstein looking umpire who stood back and did NOTHING while some punk who isn't a man cold cocked my boyfriend! Way to advocate violence and unsportsmanlike like conduct at your facility.
This place is so disgusting, the grounds and fields are not well kept. Too many morbidly obese moms not watching their kids as they run barefoot, climb on things, and throw trash around and the umpires don't know what they are doing. Rude staff and rude trashy people who use foul language and condone violence on the field.
I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Just a bunch of wanna be thugs, ex cons and white trash. Maybe not ALL of them but from what I've seen the last few games that is the majority.
People drinking in the parking lot and dugouts, umpires not paying attention or not knowing the rules and not acting properly when players get violent.
No security to tell the kids to get down off the top of the railing they climbed up barefoot, or getting their fat mom to get off her butt and parent them before they fall and crack their head on the concrete. Law suits waiting to happen here.
This place is just crawling with...
Read moreMy husband likes to drop by and fish here and my niece plays softball tournaments here often. It has everything you would want for each of those events plus others and is a large enough, clean enough place. However, we moved to Waxahachie bc of the historical aspect and aesthetics of the town, but this park looks very average. There are very few trees and landscaping and just nothing special about it. The chain link fence encompassing it coupled by the fact that it is right off the service road and hwy which aren't super-nice either (not to mention the HUGE electric poles running through it [not the actual park lighting]) makes it looks like it isn't appreciated much by the city either nor that they anticipated many out-of-towners of which to impress or draw in. We love Richards Park and the small town feel it brings. Wish this place was more "Waxahachie" and organic and...
Read moreWorst experience ever with the refs, I wish they was a way to boycott playing against Waxahachie, the ref is always on their side, 3rd time playing here and I kind of have a feeling the ref is related to some of their players. Take a look at how he refs Waxahachie Punishers, Also one of the players mom is associated with the Waxahachie soccer organization which is not fair for the opponents team, our kids had to play against dirty players, against the Ref and against Punishers breaking all kinds of soccer rules.. I will take this into the North Soccer Association and have everyone investigated as one of our kids got severely injured and it seemed very convenient for him to not care. Waxahachie Soccer Association you are a very very disappointment to any Soccer...
