Whataburger — Restaurant in Waxahachie

Most of the time when I give reviews to places in the food service industry they are to say how much I loved the service, but this was horrible. If I could give zero stars I would. I went through the drive through, and when I got to the window I found out they messed up my order, and I had to reorder everything. They asked me to pull over to the side. We waited for 30min, and when they came they gave me only half of my order, and none of the drinks. They went back took another 10min and brought me the other half, still no drinks. I mentioned the drinks were missing, they took my receipt with them, another 10min went by and they came back with the drinks. I realized one of the meals I ordered was still missing, and I mentioned this, they went back to get it. At this point I was also checking that I had all my drinks, and two were missing, and they never brought my receipt back. I decided to walk inside because I didn't want to wait another two rounds outside. When I went inside the 3 different people who had taken things to my car saw me, and they never came to me, or asked me what was wrong, they made a point to ignore me. The cashier inside was the only one who was a decent employee. She was very nice about helping me, so I don't blame her for the rest of the team. I retold her my order, since I did not have my receipt, and told her I was still missing two drinks and a junior meal. I had to wait another 10min inside, but I thought okay at least I've got everything now. Needless to say most of the food was cold by then. I got home and realized two of the meals they gave me were from the order they had messed up earlier and not the actual meals I had ordered. They had charged me the meals I ordered which were more expensive than the ones they messed up, but gave me the ones they messed up. I had asked for cokes with my meals two of them with no ice. First, all of them had ice, and the "cokes" were not actually cokes at all, they were all Dr. Pepper. So we basically waited there for an hour, payed more for our meals, and we did not get what we ordered. I have never ever had such a horrible experience...

My husband and I placed an online order that was supposed to be ready between 5:14 PM and 5:17 PM. At about 5:30 PM I called into the store to check the status of our order. I was told by a gentleman that my order would take about another 25 minutes to prepare because they were the only store in the area operating at this time. I’ve been called the two other Waxahachie stores and they confirmed that they are in fact, working and operating currently. Around 535 we pulled into the drive-through and waited another four minutes before being addressed at the speaker and we were told that orders are taking about 30 minutes to prepare. There are only two people in line ahead of us. and we have now been sitting here for another 15 minutes. The lobby is open and definitely not full. I don’t believe that it’s in adequate staffing as we have seen at least three additional members arrive to work while we’ve been sitting here. Aside of the staff lying, my question is why are orders taking so long to prepare and there’s no movement in traffic? This is TERRIBLE!!! Updated time is 5:52pm and we are still behind 2 cars in the drive thru. We just got to the window and 43 minutes later our food is not even made. Now they can’t find the order at all!!! They told us to come in. The manager could not find our order. He asked us what we had wrote it on a receipt and proceeded to make our order for us now one hour later my husband is waiting for our food again. I just walked out to the car and over the speaker. I overheard them tell a person there is one hour wait for your food. The manager told us there is only one person inside this restaurant that can make a sandwich other than him. Even with that one hour to make a sandwich...

My husband and I have been here quite a few times for online orders only, both late night (between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.) and afternoon (between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.) due to the convenience, but no more... The terrible service outweighed the good service at this place... Late night the drive-thru will only have maybe 3/4 vehicles and the lobby will have maybe 2/3 customers... During the afternoon hours there's like 5/6 vehicles in the drive-thru and maybe 5/6 groups in the lobby... Our last visit was enough to make us say screw convenience, we'll drive a few miles further for better service... On Sunday, we placed an online order that was supposed to be ready within the next 5 minutes (placed online at 4:36 p.m. ready at 4:42 p.m.)... We waited until 5 p.m. to head to the restaurant because the order is never ready, even when we wait 15 minutes to head to the restaurant.. We arrived at the restaurant at 5:08 p.m. One person was ahead of us in line in the lobby... At 5:10 p.m. we asked about our online order and the guy said it will be a moment... We waited and watched 4 customers after us place and get their orders ahead of us, including an employee... At 5:20 p.m. a manger was walking around asking people if they were ok... When she asked us we explained the online order we placed at 4:36 p.m. She went to the back and stated we were here for the online order, like we had just arrived... When she gave us our order, it was the same thing, she acted as though the order had been ready.. At 5:25 p.m. we were leaving the restaurant with our food... An online order taking almost an hour is ridiculous to...
