Perfect pet friendly walking trail in Jersey! #wayne #walkingtrail #newjersey

Despite my visit being during the winter season, the beauty and charm of this place were undeniable. The arboretum's serene paths were adorned with beautiful artwork, creating a captivating fusion of nature and artistic expression. One of the highlights of my visit was the dog-friendly atmosphere at Laurelwood Arboretum. It was heartwarming to see furry companions happily exploring the trails alongside their owners. The arboretum provides a welcoming and peaceful environment for both humans and their canine friends to enjoy the beauty of nature together. However, it's important to note that parking at Laurelwood Arboretum is limited and tends to fill up quickly. To ensure a stress-free visit, I recommend arriving early or considering alternative transportation options. Families with children will find Laurelwood Arboretum to be a fantastic destination. The paths are easily accessible, making it a breeze for little ones to explore and enjoy nature. It's a great opportunity for kids to connect with the outdoors while appreciating the fascinating artwork scattered throughout the arboretum. As I left Laurelwood Arboretum, I couldn't help but eagerly anticipate my next visit in the spring. I am excited to witness the transformation as nature awakens and reveals its vibrant colors. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, an art lover, or simply seeking a serene escape, Laurelwood Arboretum offers an enchanting experience for all.

Not family friendly, no bathrooms. I wanted to recommend this hidden-away floral garden, but it's simply not a good choice. There's no bathroom and not even a porta-potty. Too much coffee? Your nearest bathroom is over a half-mile and 2 traffic lights away by car. Small kids? You're out of luck. Don't try to "rough it," there's security system signs around and it's not a rural area. No water fountains either and as of right now, the one, solo picnic table is closed. Not a good choice for your Summer day trip. Try Greenview Park in nearby Pequannock, or Verona Park in Verona or Grover Cleveland Park in Essex Fells for a trip the whole family will enjoy, complete with public facilities and paved paths. Do not bring a stroller to Laurelwood Arboretum, it's very difficult to push on the gravel. I hope they make some changes soon because it's clear that a lot of volunteers put a lot of work into the site and it really has a lot of potential, once the administration recognizes that these parks need to be accessible for the entire population.

Walkability – This beautiful arboretum offers a variety of trails where you can immerse yourself in nature’s charm. Photography – As someone who loves capturing the beauty of flowers, wildlife, and serene landscapes, this place is a dream — it truly has a little bit of everything. Maintenance – The grounds are clearly cared for with love, creating a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere throughout. Parking – There are two small parking lots. I arrived around 9:30 a.m., and the first lot was already full, so I headed to the second one, which still had a few spots left. Admission & Hours – Free to visit and open every day, making it easy to plan a trip whenever you need a nature break.

Overall – Whether you want to relax, take a peaceful walk or simply enjoy the beauty around you, Laurelwood Arboretum is the perfect spot. I’ll definitely be...
