Southwest Park in Webster Groves, Missouri – Playground, Water Pump & Peaceful Escape #parks #playground #stlouis #missouri #familyfun #webstergrovesmo

Came here for a soccer game, and it seems designed extremely poorly. The parking spots seem to be striped for ox carts rather than cars. Even the street parking is very narrow. The soccer field is painted far from the nearest shade trees, meaning players and spectators are in full sun, even in late afternoon. Completely unnecessary, it seems designed by a sadist. Webster Groves should be able to do better.

Gorgeous park with lots of playground and green fields. Even a tiny toddler park bench.

Few years back this place was a park you would go for the soccer field and nothing else. The bathrooms used to be destroyed, so they demolished them and built new ones. Now the park is perfect for bringing kids. Large and safe playground with lots of natural plants. Well maintained grass and easy parking. It is a little hidden from the street, so I would consider this a "hidden gem." If you have young kids amd live in the Webster area, bring them here on a sunny spring/summer day. Also, PERFECT PLACE TO FLY KITES. Just get away...

A beautiful park with a sunny playground and clean restrooms nearby. The playground has some fun and unique equipment, for tots as well as for bigger kids. The water feature was not on when we attended, but looks like it could be some good, wet fun for kids, and the little amphitheater is just right for sparking kids' imaginations. There's a lovely field full of newly planted trees behind the playground, that borders the nearby middle school, making this a great...

My memories of this park date back to the mid 60s. When I played baseball here, then later hung out with my friends in my late teens and early 20s. Until now, I hadn't returned to Southwest park in approximately 40 years, and a lot has changed. There's now a great little playground where there once was a wooded area, and there's now a picnic pavilion, and public restrooms which I don't remember being there back in the day. It was nice returning for a walk down...
