This is the very best flea MKT ever!!! We have been going here since the early 1970’s & actually my husband appears in a postcard they used to sell there🤣! I was walking beside him but out of range of cameras for I remember seeing them up on roof of concession stand, way back when! If you are even remotely close to this goes MKT “go” because it is consistently fantastic! We took our kids there as babies & now take our grandkids. People set up here from all over the USA & don’t bother buying expensive t-shirts at stores on Cape when you can buy high quality t-shirts here for $2. to $5. each. Unique art work, gorgeous jewelry, tons of new toys ( not used!) for your kids, antiques, furniture, kitchen items, “DESIGNER ITEMS FROM TOP DESIGNERS, collectibles...this flea mkt has it “ALL!” Whatever you are looking for, I guarantee you can find it here! The best times( with best & most diverse vendors) is naturally during the May to Sept season( holidays are the best!) but this used to be open, pre-Covid year round ( yes, even in winter we went! Ha! There were only handful of vendors though in winter. We live in western Ma so are out there generally yr round.). During summer months we always go to the Wellfleet drive-in evenings with kids & then when they grew up & left home, just my husband & I! They change their movies 2 times during the week ( sometimes 3 ) & they show all first run movies appearing in theatre s! They also show two movies & is best drive-in we have ever been too. Grew up in the 1960’s when drive-ins were everywhere then & this flea MKT “still is the very best!” Always immaculately maintained. Their concession stand is excellent with good selection of food & snacks too( miss the egg rolls that all drive-ins used to carry though ha!). I advise you to get there early for the flea mkt( sm fee for car load to get in which is nominal) because being on the Cape, it heats up fast there. Bring water too,for you will get thirsty (they carry it if you forget!) They have a playground for the kids, once again we’ll maintained & lots of equipment...,(”THIS FLEA MARKET DOES IT RIGHT!!”) for the kids. The adults even have an outside small bar where they can have a cold beer 🍺 or two after looking at aisles of amazing items of everything under the sun.. you never know what you will find here! The staff is friendly & all & all this is an excellent way to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning( high season they used to open on Wednesday & Fridays also but weekends are always the best. If it is raining though, I caution you to get up “REALLY EARLY,” have breakfast close by & go when it opens for unfortunately Rt 6 being the only way to get to Provincetown, becomes clogged in bumper to bumper traffic, with everyone heading to P’town( so as not to miss a beach day on a sunny 🌞 day) on a rainy day. You can be stuck in traffic for hrs trying to get to flea MKT if a cloudy or rainy day! Do not make a mistake of trying to get there around 9:00 or 10:00 am if cloudy/rainy day for “you will not make it!” Ha! Soooo many become frustrated, turn around on that road, when they see the miles of stopped traffic. In closing all I can say is I can not recommend this fun flea market & drive-in enough!! This absolutely is the best flea mkt period!!! We go & buy our gifts for everyone here, as well as school clothes for our kids,( back in the 70’s through the 80’s), designer clothes I have found for myself( dealers from NYC), funky art work I love( dealers that come up here from Key West that own stores there)... bought the cutest 🦩 flamingo statue, lots & lots of gorgeous one of a kind jewelry by true artisans, kites for grandsons, my husband found pottery, old coins from the Wittica, think it is called & old glasswear, flip flops, shoes, glider rocking chairs from Canada( bought two), ocean painting, beef jerky, etc..... Well you get the idea.... what ever you might be looking for, “YOU CAN FIND IT HERE AT THIS EXTRAORDINARY FLEA MARKET &...
Read moreI used to love this flea market. It was rows and rows of opportunity to find something amazing. Now it is ok and hit or miss. There is a lot of jewelry and crafts vendors. In my opinion most of the jewelry is typical beach inspired pieces. Pretty much exactly what you will find in any of the tourist like gift shops. There are a couple with unique pieces. There is one amazing man George who comes with fake book lock boxes. He amazing and a highlight for me every time we go. As for the typical flea market/tag sale tables there are very few. What there are of them though I have had some luck. There is one man however who has a bigger set up. He is typically close to the screen and has amazing finds if your willing to search through his piles. He is also always willing to make a deal especially if you bundle. So if looking for tshirts, jewelry, crafters, sunglasses and a few flea market tables then this is the place for you. If your willing to get through them to look for some good finds then go for it. If you are looking for a strictly flea market probably not the...
Read moreFor sure not what I expected! Growing up on Cape I always wanted to stop in at this flea market but never had the chance. Today I was in the area and made the decision to finally check it off my list. I was quickly disappointed. I didn't mind paying the dollar to get in, but when the first thing you hear is a dispute between a vendor and flea market staff, you know your off to a good start.
The vendor pool was limited. There wasn't much of a selection, and what was available was similar among a few vendors. I ended up making no purchase because there wasn't anything that caught my eye. In all, no vendors, no true selection, no stopping back in the future. I give the two star rating because I respect the vendors who were out on what feels like the hottest day...
