Little Lights on the Lane — Attraction in West Branch

Where do I even start with this venue! We fell in LOVE with this space the moment we walked in. We are biased but strongly believe Little Lights is the best wedding venue in Iowa. Every detail of the venue is stunning and perfectly put in place. We appreciated all the different spaces the venue had to offer for our wedding party and guests. I particularly loved that the groomsmen and bridesmaid had two unique spaces to get ready in. One of my bridesmaids had her 8-month-old daughter with her and there was a great space for her to set up all her toys for the day while her grandparents watched her.

Our original wedding date was set for June 2020, but we had to postpone to August 2021 because of COVID. My husband and I both work in the medical field out in Philadelphia, PA and Erin was so gracious in letting us postpone our date. In fact, her exact words were, “You guys are taking care of your community, the least we can do it let you pick a new date.” We immediately became emotional when Erin told us this because we felt heard and loved by our venue. Erin is an incredible person who truly cares about your wedding day and making sure everything is in the correct space. Planning a wedding from afar was not easy but Little Lights made it possible. Erin’s passion and dedication to her couples trickles down to each staff member as well. Every Little Lights staff we interacted with were extremely kind, generous, and helpful. Working with the venue was extremely easy and did not cause any anxiety. Erin wants each wedding to feel unique to the couple and will work her magic to accomplish that. We booked with Little Lights only 3 weeks after they opened and each time we came back to visit or checked the website they made new additions to the venue. You can easily see how much love, determination and passion has gone into creating this amazing space.

The most beautiful venue - inside, outside, and within the people who make it what it is. My fiance and I booked Little Lights on the Lane before construction even started - all we saw were some proofs, and photos & descriptions of their vision - a little overwhelming when planning the biggest day of your life. But Erin had us hooked with her passion and determination to make this venue the most amazing place. And that she did.

Fast forward to our wedding - of course I am biased BUT it was the most stunning space. We were welcomed with open arms the minute we walked through the front doors that morning. Erin was there, hands on and helping to set up. No detail went unnoticed when they built & decorated Little Lights on the Lane. There's plenty of furniture/decor, so what you need to bring is pretty minimal (and they are always adding/changing decor, so no two events will look the same). The grooms suite & bridal suite - just wow. Spending the day in the cozy, trendy bridal suite was SO FUN - the hair & makeup area, the floor pillows, the balcony - everything is perfect in there. The large upstairs balcony area was so special to enjoy breakfast & lunch together that day. And of course the outdoors - the porch, the tree, the golf course, the space for outdoor games during cocktail hour, everything. There are so many unique and different areas/"backdrops" for photos on the day of your event. Once you see Little Lights, you'll be hooked.

We had the pleasure of participating in a styled shoot at Little Lights recently (a couple months after our own wedding), and my most favorite thing about getting married there is that now we're part of this super special Little Lights family forever. The space is always changing with new decor & such, so going back never gets old. Erin continuously welcomes us with the biggest, most sincere smile and heart. WOW! We can’t say enough positive things about our experience at Little Lights on the Lane. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself as every square inch of it has been designed perfectly. Our ceremony took place in the main hall with the stunning windows as our backdrop and it was the perfect option for our fall wedding. However, we were still able to enjoy the night on the patio with the heaters Little Lights on the Lane provided.

We booked the venue because of the beautiful space but we were most impressed with Erin, the owner of Little Lights on the Lane, and her team. From our first meeting it was clear that Erin and the team have a lot of experience. They were so knowledgeable and were able to answer any of our questions or offer helpful suggestions. Erin was so genuine in conversation and showed she is passionate about making each Little Light couple happy. My husband and I do not live in West Branch but we had many opportunities to visit the venue and meet with the staff during individual meetings and couples open houses which we were so thankful for! We were able to try out a variety of vendors, set tables, and look at items from the something borrowed closet during the open houses. We strongly encourage all couples to attend!

We made the decision to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19. The team at Little Lights made the process stress free as they offered to help contact the other vendors to coordinate our new date. They were so supportive throughout the process of postponing. We were able to celebrate safely on our original date with a small gathering our families.
