Multitude of issues with this course. The second I entered the clubhouse I was greeted with contempt. Almost as if it was irritating to them that I wanted to golf there. I played with two groups of 4 on one of the "play as many as you can" nights. Right from the start I felt unwelcomed.
Aside from the unwelcoming I had received, the course itself has decent topography. Each hole is unique and has varying levels of difficulty. My gripe with these holes is the fairways are ALL like playing on volcanic rock. It is obvious that they do not get watered and have crusted into a rocky, bumpy, cavernous wasteland of horrible lies. Every shot my ball was nestled into a giant crater of dried, cracked earth. I would only hope that I miss the fairway on every drive so that I can play on soft ground in the rough. Only to make matters worse, the greens look like they are cut once a week. I had multiple birdie putts robbed by giant blades of grass sticking out of the green rustling my ball away from the cup. It got to the point where I would pay down the green where my line would be in order to avoid the grass messing with my line. Not to mention, this is only a 9-hole course, so the amount of maintenance should not be profoundly difficult.
I would avoid this course unless you like being treated like a second class citizen and prefer poorly maintained courses. Overall, the horrible hospitality, and the maintenance of this course is something that I would determine any other course better than this one in the area. Pleasant valley, Brown Deer, Saddleback. Any of these courses are colossally better and better maintained. Will...
Read moreWe have been to this course twice now and each time we were shown nothing but attitude. The first time we did not have a tee time and when we got there the women in the club house copped an attitude saying she couldn’t get us in for over an hour. So we waited, no problem. While we waited not one other group came and started to golf and there were plenty of carts.
Today we went for a second time this time we had a tee time. We got there about 15-20 mins before our tee time and waited for the last of our family to show up. It was about 5 mins before our tee time when I went back in to get a drink for my child. She again copped an attitude and asked why we hadn’t teed off yet. Mind you the last two golfers for our group were paying as I walked in.
On hole 7 she rolled up hollering about how 6 of us can’t hold together. Mind you we paid for 5 but after the first hole 1 stopped golfing which is why we were going together. However the group behind us was a group of 5 and one group in front of us was 10. Her response was because they were members. So BEWARE!! If you are not a member you are not shit to them. We will not be...
Read moreThis course is very much a work in progress. The staff was friendly and greens fees reasonable, but there is a lot of construction around the clubhouse and course. They appear to have a beautiful event center adjacent to the golf course.
The course itself really only has 8 functional holes and doesn't flow effectively without hole #2. We were instructed to play the first hole twice, which meant driving our cart back across the first fairway both times we played it putting us in the line of fire from the tee box.
The course could use some improved signage and an updated scorecard as yardage on a few holes wasn't accurate.
Perhaps most disappointing to me was that it didn't seem like the course followed any of the USGA guidelines regarding Covid golf -- there were none of the typical pool noodles in the cups, carts didn't seem recently cleaned and staff didn't weak any...
