Very disappointed with the facial I received. I paid for a 30 minute facial and a peel. All I ended up getting was a peel. I get facials and peels on a regular basis and have for many years so I know what's out there and who is worth going to--who will give you your money's worth. When receiving a facial, I have the expectation that I will get cleansed, exfoliated, toned, a mask, moisturizer with spf, lip balm, and eye cream. It is also nice during a facial when the esthetician will go the extra mile to massage the products into your face and give you a scalp massage as well. That's what I purchased anyway. What I ended up with was cleansed, toned, a peel, a jade roller, moisturizer, eye cream. I would've gotten that with just purchasing a peel and forgetting the facial. I'm so disappointed. I feel so duped. They also had me fill out paperwork for 20 minutes which they did not review at all so what was the point in that. I ended up telling them about my skin and my lifestyle 'cause I knew the paperwork wasn't read. If it had been read and reviewed, then she would've known that I needed something above a Level 1 peel. None of it was relaxing either. I tried to relax, though, but I kept getting a sales pitch about the product line they carried. It was also evident that the esthetician had the appointment timed as towards the end of the appointment she was giving me a rundown on how much time was left. Not relaxing at all. I did question her about not receiving a mask. I received a long speech about how she was just getting to know my skin and that a mask comes with the hour facial. This is the only business I know of that doesn't give a mask for a half hour facial. I wasted my money and my time. I left feeling stressed out and unsatisfied--not the way you should feel after a facial/peel. The staff was very concerned about me making my appointment and purchasing skincare products. I really wish some concern would've been placed on the services I paid for! I have so much more I could add to this review, but it would take some time to type everything out and I already feel like I've wasted a lot of time and money for services I didn't...
Read moreMade an appointment 3 weeks in advance for a cut/style with Kailey. Our free consultation went great. She seemed interested in getting me what I wanted color and cut wise. An hour before my appointment the salon calls asking if I could come in early to another stylist. I said no and they seemed very irritated. I show up to my appointment on time and from the very start she seemed very rushed and just wanting to get done. I showed her a photo of what I wanted (shown below on right side). Naturally I have very wavy hair and had a decent length- about 8 inches below the shoulder. I told her I wanted it choppy and messy and she agreed right below the shoulder would look best. She cut it and it was AT the shoulder when wet so instead of styling it like I told her I normally do (I said I air dry and rarely straighten it if going out) she dried it straight and put smoothing gel in it. In my opinion this was done to get as much length as possible since the wavy nature of it would have made it much shorter than what I asked for. With my natural wave, it sits about an inch above the shoulder! She asked if the length was ok at the end. I said yea. What was I suppose to say? It was already cut and done.🤷🏻♀️ Needless to say she never did bring up the color options she told me to decide on (which I did bring photos). I wasn’t going to bring it up since everything was so rushed. I’ve been to salons before and I’ve been to great clips before. This was definitely on par for a great clips cut so if your looking for a “salon” experience I’d skip this place. Total time I was in the chair from start to finish was 7:20-7:42 when i picked my phone up getting out of the chair. 2 star for the cleanliness of the salon and easy...
Read moreI typically have to work up the courage to go get my hair cut and trust that the stylist understands curly hair. I’ve had several Deva cuts/ curly cuts in my curly hair journey that has either left me ecstatic or disappointed. Which leaves me no choice but to leave a review. I will start by saying that the salon was set up really cute and inviting. Everyone working was friendly and appeared to be knowledgeable. I set up a consultation to discuss what I wanted, to include pictures. The stylist seemed as though she understood my texture and spoke the curly girl language. However, when she began to cut I noticed she preferred to comb out my curls instead of cutting them as they lay. She pulled together pieces of hair after the comb out to cut…. I felt nervous but tried to trust her process. After a wash a condition, I opted for her to use her products oppose to my own to try something new….. she placed me under a dryer and than brought me back to the chair. My hair was freezy. I could barely see the shapes that she cut and it felt dry to the touch. I wanted to leave. I left her a tip because I felt she was friendly enough. I wanted to get home to play with it myself. Deva cuts are not the same as curly cuts. Deva cuts typically start at $100 and up. I paid to much to leave unstyled and freezy. I waited a week to be certain of my feelings about it and felt I no longer wanted to wait to share...
