Nice, clean and safe area for kids and adults to have fun in the sun!!! Riverside Park has not only a good swimming and fishing area to offer those who are hot a place to cool off, but a nice play area for the kids which include a slide, monkey bars, and a swing set with several swings to offer. Also there is a very big pavilion for groups to get together and connect. There is a walk way that wraps all the way around the park for those who love exercise and routine walking or jogging! There are plenty of benches for resting or book reading if you find yourself in need of sitting down at any point in your awesome journey to Riverside Park. Also, this park is an amazing place for meditation, yoga and cooking!! You will find several different groves of trees which provide an ample and sufficient amount of shade and peace of mind. There are plenty of grills if the family or yourself are in need of a good cookout. Oh, and for those who love putting up your hammocks and relaxing in the shade or catching some outdoor z's, the city has decided to put up a new hammock area at the back of the park, away from all of the noise of the main area of the park. Don't forget to pick up your trash, and pet poo, to keep this wonderful park a safe and clean place not only for you, but for families and generations to come. Have a wonderful visit and please, feel free to come back and enjoy the many pleasures this park has to...

It is very hard to find a good place to exercise my dog via swimming in the Fayetteville area. A person from the IAMS dog park (Who had some pretty English Spaniels) let me know about this place.

It is wonderful! If you go in the morning, the sun hasn't had time to heat up the water, which makes it cold. It's shallow towards the shore and continues to be where I (of a 5'4 height) can still touch the bottom. At the farthest part, however, is where it's the deepest.

There are a lot of kids who jump off from the cliffs into the water, which is excitable to my dog, so I just go farther down the river to let her swim.

This place has a pavillian, but the only bathroom are...

Excellent family park w nice walking trails.

As the name suggests this park is actually on a Riverside, a beautiful one. Park features a playground for kids with 3 different pavillions situated around the place for picnicking.

I saw countless benches to rest or sit and enjoy the view while I walked a small portion of the walking trails.

I found only 3 different BBQ pits. Meaning if the park is even lightly filled it may be hard to find a BBQ so get there early on a busy day.

The river is gorgeous and features stunning views of carved stone banks with small waterfalls and trees jutting...

I enjoy this park for swimming in the lake. It has some very shallow bits which I imagine are good if you bring kids as long as they're careful on all the slippery rocks. Also has a good cliff diving spot, if you're into that. The park has trails and a good size covered area with lots of picnic benches if you wanted to have a small event or picnic here. The parking, however, is not the greatestt and is actually very small so I'd reccomened carpooling if you were to be planning a big picnic/event here.

The river and park were both well maintained and pretty! There's a long sidewalk to walk on if you don't want to hoof it in the grass. Lots of the river had riverside land you can picnic on, and fish from the bank. It was beautiful. There were a couple of tiny little waterfalls trickling down from the cliffs on the opposite side of the river. It made for a relaxing spot to just lie out in the sun.

Our dogs love to go to this park. Two of them go crazy for a game of fetch in the water, and the other just loves going around the trails. Fun for everyone. Sometimes my boyfriend and I come out by ourselves for a nice swim to. Most of the time the water is plenty deep, but I definitely recommend coming out when the water is high enough to run over the little waterfall/dam thing.
