West Tawakoni City Park — Attraction in West Tawakoni

Camping picnicking covered picnic tables and this time of year is all lit up for the holidays does look quite nice. Tonight December 25th. I decided to stop by this city park of West Tawakoni. It is 50 miles east of Dallas on lake Tawakoni. Lake Tawakoni is the largest man-made lake within the borders of the state of Texas. Around 38,000 square acres. West Tawakoni is a small town about four Mile square doesn't have a really large tax base. But they do have a nice city park and as you can see from the picture I have posted tonight they do a pretty good Christmas theme. Freetown was not a lot of money you can't complain is bright is festive they cover a little bit of everything for the kids along with their veterans memorial they're swimming hole at the end of the park and camping hope you like the pictures. Went out there a couple of weeks ago to a birthday party for a one-year-old really close to the lake got out there trash everywhere from the party before and there's no trash cans where you could take your trash so you had to take it home with you to get rid of it the grass was a little high and there was people going through there on four wheelers really fast up the street going the wrong way other than that the Park's okay they just need a little fixing up to do bathrooms had no toilet paper and they were pretty smelly and dirty all in all bad experience the lady that had her birthday party out there for her one year old should get a full refund but she's 24 years old and she's just not going to ask for it but I tell you what she should get...

Nice clean park. Playground for kids. Even a leave a book take a book box. Basketball horseshoes and other activities. Theres a store close by and Dales Burgers is just a block away. Some great camping places for tents. Its not a huge place but it doesnt have to be. My only issue is the front bathrooms are never unlocked. And i know the gates close at sundown but at when you light up the park for Christmas it would be cool to leave the gates open a little after dark. So people could drive through and enjoy. But a great place nonetheless. Its cleaned up real nice. I love to see all the families out enjoying their days...
