Yellowstone River Overlook — Attraction in West Yellowstone

When I read other reviews of this hike, it seemed like this was not a must see, but I disagree! If you are able to hike downhill (and then back uphill) and make it down a short scramble to the beach, it is completely worth it. This is such a magical place where you can walk along the river, skips stones, collect rocks, and sit on a rock & contemplate the beauty of nature. Nice little hike beyond the Tower Falls observation deck. Signage says you cannot get to the river, but there was a trail down to the river that we could clearlty see (though a sign says not maintained). Not hard, but there is an elevation change...be prepared for an uphill hike...
