Jefferson Performing Arts Society — Attraction in Westwego

Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) presents a wonderful season of diverse arts and entertainment for all ages.

I highly recommend checking out JPAS season schedule for matinee shows, date night ideas, and family friendly events!

We saw Shear Madness twice and holiday comedy about the multicultural tradition of Christmakwanzahannukah at the Westwego location. I've also enjoyed productions by local dance schools and other artists who choose this venue for student recitals and showcases.

In addition to musical theatre productions featuring local talent, JPAS supports developing performance artists and at-risk youth with educational partnerships at schools in our community.

We saw a great musical here. Very nice facility and easy parking. The big problem is that Westwego is a speed trap. I got a $75 photo speeding ticket on Sunday evening at 5:15. I was going 28mph in a 20mph zone it seems. I never saw the speed limit posted. I would have expected it to be 30mph outside of school hours. The venue is nice but I will not go back to Westwego for anything. I was just trying to find the facility following Google Maps. Too bad it cannot tell me...

Cleanliness of the theater was great. Parking wasn't a challenge either. The place was nice and clean and parking was easy and the play itself was outstanding! The seating however is a little close together which makes it a little uncomfortable.... however, definitely...
