This is a deceptively large park, although most of the grass fields are on a downslope. There’s a good variety of play structures for all ages of kids, though notably none of the playground equipment is wheelchair accessible.
There’s a small splash pad for the warm months (May through September, IIRC; there’s a sign with details) as well as permanent restrooms and drinking fountains available for about the same timeframe. The rest of the year there are 2 port-o-potties (one wheelchair accessible.) In addition there’s a small man-made “stream” up past the playgrounds to splash in.
There 2 small picnic shelters immediately adjacent to the playground(s) plus a large pavilion not far from that. There’s a small/medium parking lot at the “bottom” of the park, with (parallel) street parking next to the playgrounds.
Then there’s the skate park which has some good features for beginner groms although they’re kind of right there alongside the more advanced hits, so little ones need to watch out and practice good skate park etiquette. There’s a good size drop-in bowl with multiple sections and levels, mostly with...
Read moreThis park is great! The only downside is that it's always busy. There are features to please everyone in the family, no matter what size! There is a skate park and a large field for running and playing. There are a couple covered areas with picnic tables. As for the playground, it's amazing. There are water fountains to jump through, there is a "beach" area where kids can build sandcastles and get wet. There are swings. Lots of swings. There is a pretend play area for smaller kids to play. There is a padded area with a four-sided teeter-totter. There are different sized climbing structures, for all sized children. Then there is a completely separate area with a nature theme, where kids can ride on some really unique things, and also climb and slide. There's also a parking lot for the park. There is no shade at this park (other than under the gazebos) so keep in mind that the structures can get very hot in the...
Read moreGreat place to ride with handlebars with no direction or plan of anything remotely known as a trick. Also if you want to be a parent heres your chance, plenty of unsupervised kids who have no knowledge of any park etiquette. I will say there are a few serious patrons who take turns and flow together with others. On the other hand if your an observer or parent, feel free to use the skating obstacles as chairs, tables, and hell plenty of concrete everywhere might as well set up an umbrella in the middle and camp. Hope this review helps all who's idea of going to the "Skate Park" is the same as going to a...
