If I could rate it 0 I would...we are literally sitting here now at the derby in the grass because the grand stand is closed (AND there was a late starting and dragged on , very unorganixed) The announcer promised all the kids 10 and under could get racing flags.....so the 6 kids (ALL 10 and under) run down all excited to get flags since they had been patiently waiting for each event...as they go around they realize their aren't enough flags so they change the age to 6 and under and hand flags AROUND our kids to others..so, the announcer promised whoever d idnt get one should go to the Kendall county fair and she "promises" they will get one there...how about 1 per family....or have all the kids stand in line and tell everyone the first 100 kids get a flag...not tell us to go to another fair....its not just about the flag...one of the events have just 2 mini vans in it...i mean we paid 70 dollars just to get in...and for 6 kids to go on 2 rides it cost 60 bucks!!! And the rides were very short on top of it...and of course there hasn't been a more popular music act here In I'd say 8 or 10 years!!!... the sad part is..i know how hard a lot of these volunteers work here but there has got to be a better or another way....there...
Read moreI recently visited the DuPage Event Center & Fairgrounds for the Eid Fest, which was a three-day celebration, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with joy, reflecting the true spirit of Eid. There was a wide variety of halal food available, which made the experience even more special. I especially enjoyed the halal corn dog—it was delicious! Alongside that, there were so many tasty treats like boba drinks, chicken dishes, shawarma, milkshakes, and ice cream, each better than the last.
The shopping was just as exciting, with an incredible selection of clothes, jewelry, and other items, all beautifully displayed. The event was well-organized, even with such a large crowd, and I was especially impressed by the arrangements made for salah, allowing the entire Muslim ummah to pray comfortably. I spent the evening with my sister and cousin, and we had such a memorable time together—eating, laughing, and enjoying everything the festival had to offer. It was truly a night to remember, filled with food, fun, and...
Read moreThe Dupage Co 4H for many years has used the fairgrounds for two weekends a year for horse activities. In the far corner of the property, a very nice fenced arena existed. Maintenance dept had to do nothing to maintain it. They did nothing to keep it nice. 4H would smooth it out each year and pick up all the rocks that worked their way up. The girls and parents worked hard to always leave the facility clean when we left. Very little effort, if any was every expended by staff for the kids to participate. NO one used the ring except the 4H. However, some shortsighted bureaucrat or board member thought the fence around the arena should be taken down and ruining the arena for horse use. They decided it would look nicer in in some other area and wreck the 4H event. Pathetic. So, the group was forced to purchase on their own a flimsy temp fencing that was about 1/4th the size because of cost. Thankfully no one got injured. Pathetic choice whom ever made it. I am so glad my tax $ is being put to...
