Dentist appointments, me & my kid. Hygienist, Leslie, is lovely. Dentists both are nice, though I didn't catch their names. When I made the appointment, I was told I had to accompany the kid to her appointment because they're under 18. But then I wasn't allowed because all they needed me for was 2 signatures. So I didn't bring a hat to shade my eyes to prevent migraines in the waiting area nor did I bring a book because I was going to pay attention to the exam. That would have been 4*. What really brings this review down was the dental receptionist. She obviously doesn't want to work there and was rude to me both times. Both appointments were at the beginning of the day. She was rude to me at my appointment the other day, but today was even worse. At my kid's appointment I was talking to the hygienist when looking at kid's x-rays and receptionist interrupted me mid-sentence to kick me out. Literally in the middle of a sentence! I told her off for interrupting, then informed her I was not given full info as to why I had to be there, which she gave me attitude about. I then asked her to tell my kid I'm in the car and walked out. She made some feeble attempt to say something or other about my phone (I was extremely upset at her continued terrible attitude-for-no-reason so wasn't listening). But it was as if she can't relay the message "your parent is in the car" (there was literally 1 other person in the waiting room so not busy) or she thinks my teen is too stupid to make it back...
Read moreI was in a group home in Glen Ellyn for 10 years but after having carpel tunnel surgery it was decided by Randy Lunia and Rachel who is the head of the house that I would be better off going to a nursing home to live, I do have physical limitations but it never stopped me before the surgery. The transition was awful. I had a VERY hard time and the house staff did not help me with it. I fellet abandoned and was cut off from everything even my psychiatrist Susan Dunn who I loved. They said one thing while I was there but ALL quickly changed after the decision for me to leave the nursing home I was at for rehab and go to the place I am at now.I was in the group home for mental health reasons and for them to abandon me is not right. The other clients and I were a family. And on top of the bad transition Jazel who is the head staff member at the house and Rachel who I mentioned before told 2 people I was closest to not to contact me. Again had no idea why. I am concerned that the other residents who live there now will be treated the same way I have been and I fear they will not be able to handle that kind of treatment . I would not recoal mmend the group homes the staff and people that over see it can not be trusted, Be cautious with the menta health division of the...
Read moreWe had a deeply troubling experience at this facility that left a lasting impact on our family. After a series of unprofessional interactions involving our grandchild, my wife and I made the decision to seek help elsewhere. Thank God we did—because our grandchild later confided that they were contemplating suicide after their time here. That was a wake-up call we’ll never forget.
We believe every child deserves compassionate, competent care—especially when they’re struggling. Unfortunately, we did not find that here. We cannot in good conscience recommend this facility for children, teens, or even adults in need of mental health support. If you’re seeking help for a loved one, please explore...
