The park in general is a very nice family oriented park. During the winter the sled hill and ice skating pond are fun for an afternoon with the family. Warm up in the warming house when you get too cold. In the warmer months you can play tennis, the courts are soft with dead spots, but if you're just out to have fun it works. Fishing is allowed. I believe it is catch and release and the last time I heard they stock the pond. There are boat ramps for small canoes or kayaks. The paths are great for walkers, joggers and bikes. The playground is full of kids, most not being supervised by any adults so if you have small children you might prefer a smaller park. There are basketball courts a baseball diamond and bocce ball area to use. There are bathrooms available, on the west side of the pond near the warming house. Northside pool is located inside the park. The aquatic center has a fabulous kiddy pool. There is plenty of parking...

This place has community written all over it. Weekday evenings in the warmer months you can often find a baseball or softball game with grade schoolers running bases and a small crowd of parents. Basketball courts offer six hoops for practice or play. I've never seen room be an issue. Lit tennis courts, picnic tables, a soccer field, a pavilion, public exercise equipment, a substantial playground (maybe I should have mentioned that first...), and more are also available. There is plenty of parking. Walking paths will take you around a lake and over several foot bridges. The back of the park also hosts a large grassy field that is ideal for soccer. Fishing is permitted at the park as well. Be sure to note that the park...

The only thing that makes this park less than perfect is the people. Besides me and my kids, I haven’t seen anyone else wear a mask and no social distancing. So, you take that info however you want.

The equipment is great. It’s new and there are a lot of things to play on. The ground is covered in a padding that is covered by AstroTurf. Good walking area and lots of picnic tables.

My kids thought the best part of the park was the zip line.

They also have some exercise equipment on an area right off the walking path. There is a baseball field, but no basketball court.

So there is a bell on the equipment and there seems to be a perpetual stream of kids ringing the bell. Maybe bring your...

My son brought his family into town so we could meet his new daughter, my 3nd granddaughter. We hoped for a pleasant day so we could go to Northside Park and have a family outing. There were clouds, but they just made a more shady day. We found tables close together that fit our needs. Had a great meal then the kids went off to the playground. It was a great day. The park is close to my daughter's house and she loves to bring her daughter's here.

I LOVE this park… or I should say my granddaughter Loves this park!! It has a nice large play area with lots of slides, swings, towers to climb, a pretty large zip-line, with lots of area to run around. There is also a picnic area, and a short walk to the pond! The BEST part about the playground area is it has artificial grass with a cushioned base. It’s safe and NO MUD !!
