Kentucky Mist Distillery - Whitesburg — Attraction in Whitesburg

I did not know what to expect when i heard the Whitesburg, KY had a moonshine distillery but when i arrived i was pleasantly suprised. The Store was very nice and they had windows so you could back into the room where they make the mash and distilled the spirits. They had a gift shop where you could buy shirts, sweaters, and of course their alcohol products. The person working there was incredibly friendly and gave me great recommendations on what to try for my tasting. To do the tasting you have to buy a shot glass which there are 2 you can chose from, the one i chose was $6 and i got to try 6 diffrent drinks, which i thought was not a bad deal. I tried their corn moonshine, the sugar caine shine, their vodak, their cranberry vodka, their aged moonshine, and the carmel apple shine. All of these drinks were incredibel on their own and i am sure the other flavored moonshine they have is also really good. We haven’t had the pleasure of visiting their Kentucky location however, we have been to the location at barefoot landing in North Myrtle Beach. Not only is the moonshine fantastic, but they have the BEST staff there! Now, I ordered some moonshine for Christmas back in 2019 for my fiancé, we had some difficulty with shipping (ONLY because my local fed ex didn’t do spirits, and I didn’t realize that, totally not their fault at all!!) but the customer service was so awesome they just sent it right back out to a different address for me and I got it no problem! Now after visiting Myrtle again this year, my fiancé decided to place a bigger order to stock up on some of our favorites!! The staff at Kentucky Mist went above and beyond and threw in a couple things for us to use and enjoy, and thanked us for our order!! My husband and I came to Myrtle Beach from Minnesota for our honeymoon and went into the distillery and were excited to try the moonshine here. When asked for our IDs we handed them to the lady working there and she began to tell us that they look fake and are too thick to be a real license.
