Legg Lake — Attraction in Whittier Narrows

I can't believe I've never done a review of this park known as Legg Lake, I've been coming here since I was a child.. I'm 60 yrs old and I still come here.. they now have a bike lane on Rosemead Blvd which is nearby the San Gabriel River bike trail and the Rio Hondo lower bike trail which is perfect for me considering I'm a cyclist.. great place for a rest stop ,, many people come here to engage in some type of cardio like jogging, walking even biking throughout this huge park with several lakes that many come out here to fish , great place for family and friend gatherings for a picnic, barbecue or birthday parties .. plenty of bathrooms throughout the lakes as well as parking.. you can walk your dogs here but must be on a leash , I recommend to keep a close eye on the little ones because if the geese see a child with a sandwich 🥪 it might get it 😂 , I know because it happened to me as a child, so traumatic 🤣 if your a child.. overall great place to hang out with friends, even good to bring a date for a long walk and get to know...

I remember back on 1983 I was about 14 I was at the waters edge bait fishing .I look to my right and Im glad I happen to be at the right place at right time .I saw a kid he was about 9 0r 10 years old I just happen to see his head disappear under the water when I saw his hands break the water line I drop my fishing pole ran in and pulled him up by that time other people helped him me bring him ashore.i never got his name or knew who he was I'm just glad he was ok. 6 6 22 WHENEVER I GO TO LEGG LAKE FOR SOME REASON I GO TO THE EXACT SPOT AND EVERYTHING THAT HAPPEN THAT DAY 41YEARS AGO PLAYS OUT LIKE IF IT...

Such a happy home for such beautiful fowl too bad people need to be so inconsiderate and throw trash and all debris. Feed bread and what ever. It's a wonderful place to visit, but to see all the food wrappers, bottle caps, masks, just to name a few trash clutter... The fowl is so beautiful as Nature would have it.. 2022 Let's not trash this beautiful home for our fowl... For our happy ENJOYMENT.. LET KEEP HAPPINESS AND JOY AT LEG LAKE.. especially now during this ongoing pendemic Which is here effecting all of us.. The lake is still so so BEAUTIFUL....
