This park has something for everyone. It was reassuring to see plenty of staff present and also sheriff's patroling occasionally. This is a HUUUGGEEE park that one could easily get lost in. Plenty of restrooms, picnic areas w/bbq, hobby specific areas, etc. Many things are closed at the moment because of COVID-19. Restrooms are closed during this time but there are Porta Pots available if you dare. They do routinely get cleaned tho. You are able to walk, ride, drive, through. You can even park and enjoy the nature around while remaining a safe distance(in your car). If you act right here you get treated right. I have never seen individuals getting harrassed here. I mean hey its a park....YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO PARK. THERE IS NO SMOKING ALLOWED ANYWHERE FYI* so if you do be aware and you will be just ifne. So get out and go be a kid...
ย ย ย Read moreI loved this park for decades. But nowadays, the employees kills the chicks, when they needs only one week until they able to fly. These birds kills the mosquitoes and other bugs (I have video of it!!!). The employees park on the grass, despite the parking lot is empty. The bathrooms are open only randomly, and closes at 5, despite the sunset is at 8pm. Wintertime, they keep open only two bathrooms, but randomly which one. Often forget to open the gate at Rush street, despite it is not holiday or weekend. They use gas blower, instead of electric, or a street sweeper. Do you want me to list more? I'm so sad...
