TK Asian Antiquities — Attraction in Williamsburg

Lovely staff, very warm and hospitable. Eager to offer expertise and historical context about objects in the collections, or answer any questions one may have about traditional uses of certain works, how these works of art are created and why, carbon dating and provenance. . . I was genuinely surprised at the museum quality of antiquities located within a very unassuming and tranquil setting on the way to the Jamestown settlement. They have a sublime pond and sculpture garden in addition to the main collection, secondary collection and the warehouse, which is, as of this posting, having a fabulous 50 % sale on some really amazing furniture and dreamstones! (Back left corner of the warehouse) One can find VERY high-end museum quality objects and also affordable pieces, especially in the warehouse. I fell in love with the Tang Dynasty Horses, the ancestrial portraits, the golden roman "necklace?" (Not sure if that is the correct terminology) as well the DREAM STONES! There are also exquisitely carved Ivory, jade, and wooden pieces for sale, both large and small. It is truly a superior collection, and the owner possesses a wealth of knowledge and is quite approachable at the same time. One really can sense his passion for the art. In short, the gallery is an interior designers dream for building up their own inventory to draw inspiration from and stage for clients and a treasure trove of beauty and history. I had called TK Asian inquiring if they would appraise my collection of antiques. Well, I was told to send an email with pictures and that someone would contact me with more information. I sent a comprehensive set of photos along with documents and everything and received no response. I had to send the same email several times to finally get a response saying they would get back to me. It has been over a month and I still have not heard anything. I'm assuming I've essentially been ghosted at this point. The individuals at TK Asian might be some of the most unprofessional and unresponsive appraisers I have ever interacted with. The extensive knowledge that Lee that this group of folks has is unparalleled.added to the fact that a soon to be aired tv special comes out soon too. These folks deserve your drop in. Yes there was a Bentley parked in The parking lot which kinda scared me a bit on pricing. However prices I thought were pretty fair. For antiques. I love Asian antiques and this location has everything from a 25,000 table made of burlwood to a simple antique chair. Awesome...
