Sylva NC is a must visit! Save for your summer adventures ⤵️ Day 1 - head to farmhouse for a coffee ☕️ and pastry 🥐 - drive to high(cullowhee) falls for a morning hike - grab a beer at @innovationbeer and a slice of pizza at @meatballspizzeria - drive to Mingo Falls and Soco Falls for the afternoon - catch a sunset at Waterrock Knob (check the forecast for this one!!) - snag dinner at @lazyhikerbrewingsylva Day 2 - breakfast at @lucy_intherye - tackle the Pinnacle hike. Bring plenty of water and plan for a good 5-6 hours of hiking! I went up and down the left side as it shortened the hike a little bit. This is a HARD hike, especially in the heat/humidity, so be mentally prepared and don’t feel bad about turning back if you need to!! P.S. if you have time, @whitemoonsylva is amazing and the farmers market is so cute! Weekend Itinerary for Sylva, NC ⤵️ Ollie and I had a blast exploring @discoverjacksonnc and were able to see so much over just one weekend! Here’s everything we got up to (save for future planning):  🌅Sunset at Waterrock Knob - you can watch from the parking lot or take the .9-mile trail up for a quieter experience 🥘 Eat at @meatballspizzeria , @lucy_intherye , @lazyhikerbrewingsylva , & @whitemoonsylva 🛍️Explore downtown Sylva- there are so many cute shops and stores! 🍻 Grab a beer at @innovationbeer 🍃 Hammock in the trees with @enohammocks near Soco Falls 🥾 Hike to Mingo Falls 🌳Tackle the Pinnacle - this is a tough trail but the almost 360-degree views at the top are 100% worth it. You can also do just a section and enjoy the woods, set up a an @enohammocks , and relax by the river Sylva is just one of MANY incredible towns in Jackson County. I love exploring this area whether it’s seeing the dam release at High (Cullowhee) Falls or driving down to Cashiers to check out the tallest waterfall in NC, Whitewater Falls. Whatever you choose to do here you won’t be disappointed! This whole area is incredibly dog-friendly which is always a bonus for me. DAY TRIP IDEAS FROM ASHEVILLE NC ☀️ Save for summer adventures 👙🍉🌻🕶️💦 1. Sylva NC - waterrock knob is a great spot for sunset and check out Cullowhee (high) Falls and Lake Glenville for swimming! 2. DuPont State Forest has a bunch of incredible waterfalls! Just make sure to pack out what you pack in as this area tends to get trashed easily. Always leave it better than you found it 🫶🏼 3. Brevard is such a fantastic place year round but especially in the summer 🙌🏼 sliding rock, looking glass falls, and numerous day use spots along Pisgah Highway have spots to take a dip 4. Erwin TN is often overlooked but it is so close to AVL! I love the Nolichucky River and you can pick up the AT from here for some incredible views 5. Green River Gamelands is less than an hour from Asheville and there are so many spots to cool off! Plus this is a great area if you love kayaking 🚣‍♀️ As always, please recreate responsibly. We want to keep these places beautiful for generations to come. If you see trash….
