Horseshoe Lake — Attraction in Woodland

This hidden little gem is right in the middle of town, has a great play structure for kids, a dock for fishing and lots of beach access. We had an amazing time fishing and watching the osprey dive into the water and snatch fish, then the eagle attacking the osprey to steal the fish was crazy cool to watch. We caught 4 little trout and I'm quite possibly the worst fisherman on the planet so that was surprising. Got lots of videos of birds flying all over if you're into that sort of thing. It also seems like a great little running trail as there were several people out jogging.

I didn't go to the skate park but the kids looked to be having fun. Wish it was a little bigger for them. Also, someone keeps vandalizing the bathrooms so if you see that make sure you call it in so we don't lose out on...

Absolutely love this lake my mom, son and I go there to paddleboard. The lake is nice. Good parking if you get there early. The only issue I have is people save parking spots with coolers, tents ect which is frustrating. Most people there are nice and friendly but there are some people who don't care and just crowd in and sent up pop up tents and push there way in so we have to move our stuff out of their way. The lake does kinda smell after you've been in it for awhile but that's gonna happen it's a lake...

was just driving by it but now that the nice weather is coming! it should be renamed to woodland's community swimming pool and freedom rolls skate park . and I don't see why they don't build a few docks at the end on the frontage road side of the lake like one in between the island aire drive side and the intake pump and then the other placed extending out passed the intake pump so u have more spots to fish from on that end of the lake...
