It's a lightly used, lightly funded, boring chunk of land that has only one exciting area/feature....that my friends is the Pokemon gym located there for the game I obsessively play on my phone called Pokemon go.
Ok, if you're a fan of glacier originating rivers, the Nisqually river, coming from the Nisqually glacier on Mt Rainier's South side is another less boring feature of McKenna park, this one being real, you don't need a phone and a game app to see it.
While you're there, stop by Stuarts Meats, hands down the best small town place to get your eager hands on a variety of meats, including these gems: Guinea Pig, Alligator, Bison, baby cow (veal), common yard moles and Raccoon.Ok, I personally don't know if any of that is on the menu there but I can say their pepperoni sticks are top notch.

You can have a party or a bbq and theirs fun for all ages. It has a ramp down into the water for unloading small boats or kayaks or even tubes. It's just down from a spot in the river that is usually to shallow to stay on a tube or in a boat, and their aren't anymore that shallow until way past nisqually which is 9 miles down river. So this park is a great place to start your rafting journey and is the perfect distance between this boat launch and the next just a your...
