The Prancing Pig Paint Your Own Pottery — Attraction in York Township

I was surprised. I hadn't done an art project in decades and found the experience enjoyable if not therapeutic. My wife and I chose our ceramic pieces and received fairly good direction from staff to achieve our goals. We found the staff to be attentive, but not all up in your face the whole time. If you ever have a question, they snap to attention, regardless. They have items in every price category, obviously the larger or more complicated, the more it costs, as should be expected. I thoroughly enjoyed the classic rock playing on the speakers as we worked on our items. You can spend as little or as much time as you want, depending upon how detailed you want to get. We never felt rushed although I was amazed at how long we sat there and painted! Both our pieces came out very well. We are out-of-state visitors and they even shipped them to us for a very reasonable price!

The only criticism I had would be that the lighting is fluorescent and the air-handler was loud when in operation. Both of these things are pet-peeves and probably don't bother most people. Located in a strip mall, I'm certain there are limitations to make adjustments to both of...

Last month, my wife and I took our niece to the PP for a painting session to celebrate her birthday. We inquired about "board painting" as we weren't sure what it entailed and wanted to participate in the fun. The owners, Amanda and Doug along with their excellent staff were wonderful! They were were very knowledgeable, accommodating, and patient as we walked through the process. We have been looking for a special sign to hang on pur deck and thanks to the PP Team (especially Amanda who really helped us capture our vision!), we created a sign that is FAR better than anything we could've found in a store! This is our go to place to celebrate special family events. Everyone on staff are super friendly, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable.

This time we were helped by Abby who stayed behind after her shift and gave us her absolute 110% to make sure we were completely satisfied with our projects! This kind gesture of hers made my daughter's second birthday all that much more special and memorable.

There's no place like this anywhere nearby. The Prancing Pig is where you'd go to make very unique and special memories that will last forever.
