Mill Creek Park - North End — Attraction in Youngstown

Wonderful place. The park is a great place for nature lovers of all types. The lily pond is great to take kids & a cpl pieces of stale bread to feed fish. You can walk the perimeter of pond & see fish, turtles & occasional a chipmunk or squirrel & many bird species! Also the Rose Gardens in Park is a great place for weddings under the gazebo or photos or just gazi g at the roses & has a lovely restaurant w/bathrooms & a giftshop. I just love Mill Creek Park. Always have, As I have been coming here since I was a kid. Fellows Riverside Gardens is a must on the to see list. Especially, in the spring when the tulips are in bloom. As a former employee I know they go out of their way to make a grand display. There is also the Newport wetlands that attract all kinds off wildlife and birds. They have a boardwalk. If you feel like getting some exercise you can rent a paddle boat, boat or canoe and go out on lake Glacier. Not to mention the hundreds of walking trails. There are also plenty of places to picnic or just read s book. If having a group event you can rent one of their pavilions. Oh, and don't miss the goldfish pond. This park is absolutely beautiful. There are many things to do here. This includes the hiking trails, paddle boating, kayaking, fishing, playgrounds, and also Splash playgrounds or wet playgrounds. There are also trolley tours called the Cohasset Express. There is also a Lily Pond where you could see giant goldfish and turtles and ducks. Also the amazing Fellowship Riverside Gardens where you feel like you're in a fairytale just walking around. At Fellowship Riverside Gardens you can also go inside the building that they have there with a gift shop a library a cafe and the display downstairs of historic Mill Creek Park.
