From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the park's delightful residents—ducks and turtles—in the picturesque pond that serves as the centerpiece of this enchanting oasis.
The first thing that struck me upon entering the park was the incredible number of ducks gracefully gliding across the tranquil waters. These vibrant, feathered creatures created a lively atmosphere, painting the scene with bursts of color and cheerful quacks. It was a joy to observe their playful interactions, as they dipped and dived beneath the surface, occasionally popping up to greet visitors with a friendly wag of their tails.
But it wasn't just the ducks that captured my attention; the pond was also home to a thriving community of turtles. These fascinating reptiles added an extra layer of charm to the park, with their slow and deliberate movements. Watching them bask in the warm sunlight on rocks at the water's edge was a calming sight, reminding me to appreciate life's simple pleasures.
Winsor Rotary Park's commitment to providing a natural habitat for these animals is commendable. The pond is thoughtfully designed with plenty of vegetation and aquatic plants, offering a perfect sanctuary for these creatures. Original: I love this park! It is medium sized and peninsula'd by the canal. The pond is full of ducks and turtles. There's a playground, enclosed basketball courts and one or two ramadas. Due to the ducks, I do think they need to invest a little more to clean this park for the food wrappers people leave from feeding the ducks as well as the droppings the ducks leave on the benches...
Read moreReally nice place during the day. You can feed the ducks & enjoy yourself even have a picnic. I've never been here during the night before so I can't say how it is for sure. I've heard stories about gang actives during the night hours from a city employee who's been here in the area for almost 20years now. My kid's & I haven't had any issues at this park but we do go during the day time hours. I enjoy feeding the ducks, it's relaxing. We visit often & will continue to do so until there's a problem. To me it's peaceful because of all the ducks who have figured out they're feed 24/7 pretty much so they...
