Ridiculously bad service!
RESTAURANT: There were almost no guests in the massive food court with one counter to order with 3 staff there. You have to order there only and they don't come to your table. We sat in the area with fans as it was hot which is far from the counter. Another staff by the tables has to come to you and ask for your receipt to check the order and prepare it. So, the 3 staff at the ordering counter and the other staff by the kitchen don't communicate to each other. Also, they don't tell you you have to keep the receipt. The lady by the tables didn't get all our receipts, so one of us was left waiting longer for his food, they don't pay any attention. We wanted more drinks, but the staff by the tables don't help, you still have to go all the way to the counter for every small thing you want to order. It's just pathetic how inconvenient it is for customers. The food was ridiculously small for the price.
PARKING: We came in with 5 big dirt bikes. The parking attendant waved us in and only when the 2 last ones were looking for a space, he came to move a few bikes and make space for us. While the 3 first bikes were already parked, he still asked everyone to move the bikes again to the space he made late. This is very annoying and yet keeps happening in Vietnam. Parking attendants see you coming on big bikes that are tricky to park with smaller ones, yet they don't say anything until you've parked and take your gear, then only they ask you to move. On a big bike, that is too inconvenient, they could at least react first and tell you before you park!
The place overall is a tourist trap. ATV prices are too high and clearly meant for a picture and promotion ride rather than a riding one. There's a camel attached to a pole all day long for pictures, bordering on...
Read moreThis was by far one of the most disappointing tours I have ever taken. We paid for camels and ostrich rides, yet by the time we arrived we were told it was “too late.” The tour guide did not speak or explain anything during the entire ride, leaving us completely in the dark about what we were supposed to be experiencing.
On top of that, you’re asked to pay extra just to slide down the sand, which should have been included in the package. The sand itself was sticky and uncomfortable, and overall the place felt neglected. Customer service was non-existent — it genuinely felt like they didn’t care if guests had a good experience or not.
The most frustrating part was the ATV portion. You are not even allowed to actually ride the ATVs. At that point, I told them if the experience was going to be that restricted, I might as well have ordered a Grab and ridden on the back of a motorcycle.
Zero effort, zero value, and zero hospitality. Save your money and...
Read moreFor Westerners: If you’ve ever tried ATVs before, then don’t bother. Booked a 20 minutes ride for 600k. Was originally told we could be two people on the ATV, but then they wanted a guide, so we had to book two separate - for 1.2m dong. And it was not a good experience.
You have to have a guide on the back and are only allowed to ride for 5 minutes total (2 minutes in a straight line to the dune and 3 minutes back). We were repeatedly told to stop for photos or slow down despite going slowly.
The guide will take over on the mid way to give you a 90 second ‘adventure ride’ - which was just going down one hill.
This activity is clearly designed for Asians that want to take photos but do not dare to ride the ATVs - and solely meant as a means of transportation to the Dune...
