PRO||Spacious room with nice sea view, large screen TV, A/C, large closets, large bathroom with hair dryer, water bottles in the room. Spacious lobby. Two bars (one with alcohol and companions) on the 1st floor. Nearby shwarma sandwich places for food and a few small shops, all one block away on the main streets at either end of the hotel. Underground parking. Quite good value for money, keeping in mind the comments below.||||CON||Several lights with burned out bulbs; no electrical socket near bed; only CNN and two movie channels in English; not enough towels in the bathroom; insufficient number of hangers in the closet. The breakfast buffet had too many breads, no fresh fruit and very limited hot dishes. It is tolerable but it could be much better. Orange juice was spilled all over the counter and floor, making a big mess, but the staff were too careless to clean it up. In general, the hotel staff could be much more friendly and conscientious. No snacks or peanuts in the bar with beer. The 13th (top) floor bar and restaurant seem to be closed. The tiny swimming pool is very uninviting and useless, in a small courtyard next to the breakfast room on the ground floor. Hotel staff are not naturally friendly or helpful. One evening upon return to my room, I found a man inside the bathroom with the door closed, saying I had to leave the room because of maintenance! Another time the lifts were not working (I was on 10th floor) so I took the steps but the doors locked behind you and the steps are not lit. So I was trapped in the dark! Internet WiFi was extremely unreliable - not working for 3 days, then only once in a while after that. The hotel is nice but the staff and the poor Internet will make your stay less satisfactory. Both of these issues should be solved very easily without much effort, only some attention.||||TIP||Be very careful when taking the steps - block a door open so you do not get trapped! Do NOT stay here if you need reliable, reasonably fast Internet. It is slightly better on the 1st floor near the bars. The prices vary tremendously on the online booking sites. I found the best price on Hotels.com (Booking.com was never able to accept my CC!). Ask for a room on the top floors (10-12) with a sea view. Do NOT stay here if you are expecting friendly, helpful, smiling...

The security staff are all a part of this scam. My wife booked via lastminute.com which is normally a reliable website. We were shown 2 junior suites and they offered to clean up the 2nd room but nothing could ever get rid of the foul-smelling, dark & sleazy feel of the place. We pointed out a big Cockroach in the corridor and the guy simply opened a room door and kicked it into the dark space. There were heaps of dirty food leftovers piled outside an elevator door. Even more strange were the number of times the security personnel would randomly open room doors and chat with voices in the dark. This seemed to confirm the feel that the rooms were being used for other sinister purposes. There were exposed plug sockets; unclean bath tubs; loose skirting boards in-made beds that we had been expected to sleep on…I could literally had gone on forever. Was it our fault to just simply expect a CLEAN room - the one that we had paid for months in advance?||We really did feel sorry for a wedding entourage - to spend such a significant evening with family and friends at a place like that…so sad! As we battled with the receptionist, two other guests left for exactly the same reasons. They were lucky because their websites granted them full refunds and they went to a plush hotel on the same road. My wife had still been battling with Lastminute.com for a refund because that hotel should simply be closed for business. The Algerian tourism department and the Algerian government should shut down the hotel…as it is giving Algiers a bad name.||The rest of the hotels that we had stayed at during our week-long holiday were all perfectly fine. They had not been 4 star but they had been clean and inviting. The same could not be said for the Oasis Hotel in Hossein Dey, Algiers…not in a million years.||PLEASE DON’T EVER STAY THERE.|PLEASE DON’T EVER STAY THERE.|PLEASE DON’T...
Read moreI stayed 4 days in this hotel in November 2021 and I found it so good. I took a room in the 9 th floor and the view is so beautiful. For the room, it's so wide, clean, and provided with all amenities (Internet, TV, ...). The personnels are so nice and respectful and the service is good too. For the food, it's a self service and you have a choice. The food is delicious and maybe the negative point is there is a lot of guest so sometimes you have to wait for your turn (the restauration room not quite wide and large). The area where the hotel is located is so calme secure and not far from tram station, Train station and also bus station à also there is a lot of restaurant, bank (near the hotel), and other boutique in case you want to bay something. The most important that a loved in this hotel is the decor in the reception area where you can photos with your friends...
