It is almost perfect specially when you compare it to other 4 star hotel in Algeria, you will enjoy the great hospitality and smily faces at the perfect reception, really some of the best receptionists I've dealt with!
The restaurant on the 17th floor is very good compared to any other in Algeria, not only in Setif.
Bad stuff below:
3rd floor where there is a Cafe/Lounge, a pool, a Gym, a and conference rooms.
The cafe service is good, but sometimes it turns too bad, workers are sometimes too rude (which is normal for Male workers in Algeria), and it is more dependent on their mood. One strange thing is that a big water bottle is for 1000 DZD more expensive than a milkshake which is for 800 DZD, wake up hotel, honestly prices are just too strange!
The swimming pool is barely serviced! If you plan to swim and rest for an hour, maybe you should make some phone calls with the receptionist ahead so they can serve you fast. (Stayed for over a month, day one, they said the pool is 24/7, every time you go and ask for the umbrella to be opened, they will claim the pool is still not open until summer, then another comes and says okay I'll let them open it, then another and another, you will spend about an hour to be served..
Restaurant is only for buffets. The breakfast buffet is okay, but everything is repeated exactly the same on a daily basis.
Rooms are clean, and room service workers are really good, although they wouldn't change the bed sheets much maybe once or twice in over a month period, but they are...
Read moreI last gave a review 2 months ago, the hotel is in the best location and the staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious. The problem is exactly the same every time, i.e. unfortunately the rooms have carpets that collect all the dust and dirt and the problem is that the hotel does not vacuum the floors of the hotel rooms unless requested. There are quite a few of us long-term guests, i.e. we stay in the hotel for longer periods, at this hotel and the problem is nasal congestion, sore throats, etc. due to the dust in the carpet floating in the room. I don't think it bothers the occasional overnighter, but when you are in a room like that for weeks and possibly months, it starts to bother you. The problem has been promised to be addressed at least for long-term residents, but it has only remained at the level of talk. Now, when I arrived at the hotel a few days ago, the floor was full of food crumbs and other things, and the tables hadn't even been cleaned of crumbs. That's a shame, because the hotel is otherwise a good place if you don't take the cleaning problems into account. We'll see when I get back from work in the evening if the room has...
Read moreThe hotel is well located, with clean rooms and quality service. I have encountered some problems but I can understand given the fact that the hotel is independent and does not belong to any hotel chain, although the service provided approaches that I find in Bonvoy or IHG quality hotels. The rooms are spacious almost had everything I needed. I was just annoyed by the fact that bathrooms did not have water which was very weird for a hotel in Algeria. There was also problem in the shower that needed fixing, like it would have been nice if it was detected and fixed before a guest can see it. Another weird thing is the fact that the hotel had policy of not allowing food from outside into the rooms. This annoyed me a because they are trying to promote the restaurant of the hotel but giving safety of guests as explanation for the rule. Overall the experience was good, and I’d definitely would like to stay there again. I just hope I won’t have to deal with this minor...
