Posada Quinta Ugarte — Hotel in Luján de Cuyo

Quinta Ugarte is a family owned & managed B&B located in Luján de Cuyo, a southern suburb of Mendoza, not far from the the Palmares Open Mall. The very quiet B&B offers 4 rooms and 1 apartment. The large garden has big trees and a pool. The owners are very friendly and helpful.||||We made a reservation over the phone and had the choice between a room with breakfast or the apartment. We choose the latter. The apartment was charmingly outdated, the garden superb and the pool nice. We had a living room, a small completely outfitted kitchen, a bedroom with a single bed, a small bedroom with air-conditioning and a good double bed, and an OK bathroom with 2 washbasins, shower, toilet. All was clean.||||Windows can be opened and have mosquito screens. Only for rooms the breakfast is included. We had the apartment. Very friendly the owner offered a complimentary continental breakfast in the lounge & breakfast room: rolls & croissants, fresh fruit salad, butter & marmalade, orange juice, tea & coffee.||||We were very pleased with the garden and the quietness of the place and we had a nice stay. We’ve been travelling in Argentina for 6 weeks and Quinta Ugarte was definitely our favourite place we stayed throughout our trip. The location is great, the garden is so beautiful and relaxing that it just felt like a home from home. Above all though, the staff made our stay. Patricia, the owner, helped us book activities; Mariano taught us how to do an asado one evening and we ate together with a group of guests and Kika always served breakfast with a smile. On our final day Patricia and Mariano helped organise for us to go rafting and Mariano personally drove us into the mountains, showed us some of his favourite places and even stopped en route back and rented horses so we could experience horseback riding in the Andes! This nice Bed & Breakfast is situated in a coveted area south of city center in the Lujan de Cuyo wine district. There are three ensuite bedrooms with TV and WIFI, and a separate cozy two-bedroom apartment in this large house with secure parking. The pretty grounds are dotted with sitting areas, a pool, and several varieties of fruit trees. Breakfast offerings include juice, coffee, tea, toast, pastries, and eggs made to order.
