Hotel Lido — Hotel in Mar del Plata

We were four friends that went together to visit Mar del Plata for four days, and we needed four rooms. We booked Hotel Lido and we were frankly surprised when we arrived! The hotel is very well located, only three blocks from the sea, and two blocks from the old bus terminal, which will be a huge shopping mall in a couple of months and also 3 blocks away from the Casino. Daily rate included continental breakfast, that was very abundant and nice with a lot of options to pick for different needs. The hotel is charming, totally recicled, very comfortable, and they offer a great treatment to all passengers. There are rooms for all type of need, single, double, and up to complete families (a total of 5 people). The price is very accommodate and all personnel very friendly all the time. This is a hotel that has recently been renovated. So, all of the room equipment is quite new, but the rooms remain as tiny as they were originally.||||Although very small, the rooms are very clean and welcoming. Flat screen TV, minibar, safe, comfortable bed and linens and an acceptable bathroom. Beware, the bathroom has a really bad disposition which implies the shower has no curtain and the water just fills up all of the bathroom, which is the only real annoyance in the room.||||Breakfast is included and pretty good for local standards offering buffet coffee and tea, toast, pastries, an array of cereals and ham and cheese.||||Overall, pretty good value for money, but at 30USD a night, you get what you pay for. This is a great hotel if you'll only be using it to spend the night and nothing else. Habíamos reservado una habitación doble, solicité que fuera en PB y eso fue lo único correcto, lastima que la habitación que nos dieron estaba casi al final del pasillo, interna, con ventana que daba AL MISMO PASILLO!!! ,asi que cualquiera que pasara caminando podía correr la cortina y abrir la puerta estirando la mano por la ventana, y no podíamos cerrar la ventana porque hacia mucho calor, ya que las habitaciones no tienen aire acond y si tienen un ventilador apoyado en el piso que no tira suficiente aire para ventilar la habitación entera. Además ,la puerta contigua a la habitación era una sala de máquinas, con un ruido continuo de fondo, algo así como BRRRRRRRRRR TODO EL TIEMPO!!!||Pedimos el cambio de habitación, con muuuy mala cara, nos dieron una en el primer piso, claramente era una single, que le metieron a presión dos camas de 1 plaza y una mini mesa de luz en el medio de ambas. Por supuesto que en ningún lado entraban las dos valijas chiquitas. ||||Para entrar al baño y cerrar la puerta, tenias que sacar las baldosas rotas abajo de esa puerta porque sino se trababa y no cerraba (casi no se ve en la foto pero no saqué foto mas de cerca), además de desenchufar el ventilador ,enchufado adentro del baño porque no había otro enchufe, el otro estaba arriba de una cama, imposible poner ahí el ventilador.||||El remate de esta habitación era el ventanal, que si bien era grande y con mucha luz( sin mosquitero), fue imposible dejarlo abierto , ya que ese aire y luz estaba lleno de palomas volando todo el tiempo ,haciendo ruido y estaba todo cagado. Me explicaron que había una red arriba que pusieron en pandemia pero se rompió y nunca la arreglaron, no era mucho laburo, solo es dejadez.||||Por último, en la página decía que las habitaciones tenian frigobar, reclamé ya que en ninguna de las dos había, y la respuesta fue que se habían sacado hace mucho pero que todavía no habían modificado la página y que si quería podía usar la heladera comunitaria, (si quiero una comunitaria me voy a un hostel) solo reclamé lo que reservé y pagué. Eso fue en enero 2023, estamos en mayo y todavía no modificaron la info en la página.||Lo bueno: El desayuno básico pero bien, los colchones buenos, el mobiliario moderno, el hotel está a 3 cuadras de la Bristol, a pocas cuadras de la Güemes.||Lo malo: la falta de atención a los reclamos, y sin ser cuestión del hotel y por si van con auto es casi imposible encontrar...
