Los García Carnes & Vinos — Restaurant in Mar del Plata

A great parrilla restaurant in one of the hot spot neighborhoods here in Mar del Plata! It's a very popular spot and rightfully so. The food is great and the experience was lovely. They have some great wines on the menu for you to enjoy with their food. I highly recommend checking this place out if you love Argentinian style meat!

They have two menu options for you too choose from. An XL and XS menu. Both menu's contain an empenada, chorizo, blood sausage, meat and a side dish. The difference is just 1.000 ARS but in the XL you get a little bit of everything and a side salad and in the XS menu you get to choose 1 meat option and a chosen side dish. The food is great! I had the XS option with the Bife de chorizo, two chorizo's (I'm not a fan of blood sausage) and fries on the side. The portions are very big and the fries were freaking perfect!!! After 6 months I can safely say that these are the best fries I've had here. Crispy and thin! The steak was plentiful and cooked well done. Note that they cook all of the meat one way. Close to well done. Due to their menu, they just cook every item in bulk on skewers and distributed them to the XL menu diners. So if you don't like the Argentinian way, you have to go somewhere else but I implore you, the quality and taste is great!

The staff was very great despite the wait. I think they were a bit understaffed because multiple tables had to wait a bit before someone could help but I don't think it's the restaurants fault. Despite this, our waiter was amazing. He was kind, patient and helped everyone out as quickly as possible. Everyone on the staff was kind, knowledgeable and happy to help us! Los Garcìa is a true test of endurance for meat lovers, the all you can eat salad bar is great by Argentina's standards and they start you off with a small picada and empanadas before you even start! Moving on to the main courses. The meat is fabulous over 8 courses of cuts that are brought to your table, they have all the perennial Argentine favorites except for the sweatbreads. My family and I really enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely return next time we are in...

MALÍSIMO, llegamos y nos atendió “Morena”, nos dio la mesa genial, vino el mozo que nos iba a atender toda la noche y lo vi solo cuando tomo el pedido (uno gordito con barba-perdón por lo despectivo-). Pedimos parrilla libre, a los 15 min de estar sentados Paso una moza y nos dio las gaseosas, a la media hora, se acercó si necesitábamos algo y nos llevo las ensaladas y el menú infantil que también pedimos! Pasada la hora y cuarto, le preguntamos si nos iban a dar la carne, asique les aviso a los parrilleros(ya que no era nuestra moza, sino que le dio una mano al otro), cuando escaneo el menú devuelta decía que entre otras cosas nos daban empanadas, asique las pedimos mientras esperábamos la carne! A las 2 horas de estar en el lugar recién nos dieron asado y Crudo ! Morcilla, el pollo( que estaba delicioso), chorizo, todo más o menos cada 20 min! Cuando pedimos la cuenta, 170 mil pesos nos cobraron! Nunca comí en un lugar tan mal, MIENTRAS COMÍAMOS, UN PELOTUDO PORQUE NO TENGO OTRA PALABRA PARA DESCRIBIRLO, retando a la moza que nos había atendido y a uno de los mozos que nos traía la carne! Diciendo a gritos! SI NO SIRVEN ÉCHENLOS! Vergüenza le tiene que dar a ese Señor! Antes de irme después de pagar esa barbaridad ! Les avisé que no me dieron NI VACIÓ , ni bondiola No cerdo ! De cuarta! Y si ese señor quiere que su parrilla funcione, que invierta en mozos! No pueden haber 4 mozos para tanta cantidad de gente!...
