Del Fundador Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Municipio de Córdoba

We stayed at Del Fundador Hotel twice during November 2008. I reserved a double room and paid AR $240 per night. This is a moderate price range for a hotel located downtown, about 10 minutes walking from all key sights and attractions.||||This hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the Omnibus (bus) station, which is a real plus if you arrive by long distance bus. On the negative side, the hotel is located in a semi "seedy" area, but one only needs to walk a few blocks towards the main square and the neighborhood improves.||||Despite the surroundings, we had no problem walking in the area at night. Once inside the hotel, the environment improves. The reception and dining areas are nicely designed, and computers are available for Internet access.||||The hotel rooms are on the modest and small side. They seem fairly modern and upgraded, with nice wood floors and decent furniture. Each room has air conditioning, cable TV, a safe, and a large bathroom. Beds were decent and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, had plentiful hot water, towels, and soap/shampoo. There is a large glass bowl type sink, either in the bathroom or in the main room. Our rooms appeared to be non-smoking and there were no tobacco odors.||||The hotel staff were very friendly, young, and some spoke English. They help with taxis and other special requests. For example, we had an early bus to catch and they opened up the breakfast room early for us. In another instance, we requested a quiet room and they provided us with a room opening into an inner courtyard and not the street.||||Breakfast was included with the price of the room and included cheese, ham, breads, fresh whole fruit, yoghurt, cereals, tea, and coffee. It was adequate and typical of an Argentina hotel or bed and breakfast.||||Overall, this facility is a good value, is clean, and is located very centrally for tourism. IMPORTANTE Leer! Voy a dejarles mi reseña de ese horripilante lugar, contandoles mi experiencia desde el registro de la reserva hasta el momento de la "huída". El día anterior al ingreso hablé por teléfono con el recepcionista, quien amablemente me tomó los datos personales y de la tarjeta de crédito. La estadía : 2 días. 1er conflicto: cuando llegamos no pudimos abonar el monto acordado porque el posnet "no tenía señal". Pregunté si se podía abonar con tarjeta Cabal, a lo que el recepcionista respondió : -Si. Aceptamos todos los medios de pago. Abonarán mañana cuando esté el encargado".2do conflicto: Subimos a la habitación y cuando entramos nos inundó un terrible olor a orina. Es obvio que allí la limpieza dejaba mucho, muchísimo que desear al igual que el aire acondicionado y el televisor , ambos con mas de 20 años de antigüedad. Tratamos de" ponerle onda" y fuimos a la azotea con el fin de conocer la "piscina". Subimos el último piso por las escaleras , las que estaban adornadas con almohadones sucios apilados con la puerta de ingreso atada con alambres. Allí había una pileta con escasa seguridad para niños y adultos. La cantidad excesiva de cloro hizo imposible que nos quedásemos por mucho tiempo. 3er conflicto: Luego de haber salido a cenar , regresaremos al hotel , tipo 2 am , con el fin descansar. Eso no fue posible, en el piso de arriba trabajaban albañiles que no dejaron de hacer ruidos insoportables, por lo que me contacte telefónicamente con recepción , sumamente molesta pidiendo que por favor nos dejen dormir. Caso omiso. Eso no sucedió. Logramos conciliar el sueño como pudimos pero a las 8 de la mañana nos despertaron los estruendos de martillazos. Bajamos a pedir que por favor nos cambien de piso y dejamos los reclamos pertinentes al caso, los que fueron enviados al dueño del hotel , quien ni siquiera se acercó a hablar y mediar la situación. 4to conflicto: Debido a lo sucedido , decidimos abonar, no pudimos porque finalmente nos confirmaron que no aceptan tarjeta Cabal.Abonamos con una tarjeta extranjera y comenzamos a armar las maletas. 5to conflicto: los ascensores no funcionaban, bajamos varias pertenencias desde el quinto piso por las escaleras. Y aquí viene el momento mas trascendente y que fue la gota que colmó el vaso: cuando estábamos por entrar al ascensor las puertas se cerraron antes de tiempo y apretaron mis hombros, tuve que hacer fuerza sobrehumana para que se vuelva a abrir y no fallecer en el intento ya que podría haber sucedido una tragedia conmigo y con mi mascota. Dejamos ese lugar con una sensación de impotencia y preocupación , por lo que les recomiendo que ni siquiera se acerquen a él. Esto debe ser difundido antes de que algo peor acontezca y haya que...

I expecte a diferent hotel from what I saw. The whole hotel is reforming, dirt, sand, in everywhere. The rooms would have a nice decoration, but in fact, they are not in good shape. The pillows are a moutain to sleep on, hard and high, bad sheets and towels. The breakfeast is also very bad, and the staff not helpfull and unfriendly.||Well, if they are willing to renovate the hotel to let it in a good shape, they should close it, and re-open after the renovation, because no one who has been in the hotel by this time, would want to get back.||Go to another place, we stayed in King David Flat in the back to Cordoba, is a much better one, with almost the same...
