We stayed at this hotel for a week and were perfecly satisfied. Management is in hands of the owners: Julián is ever present, his daughter, Laura replaces him in the afternoon and is in charge of the accounting, his wife, Sylvia, directs behind stage, the housekeeping and prepares two excellent daily cakes for the breakfast ||buffet. Rooms and bathrooms (with bathtub included) are big, comfortable and well equipped, all with a beautiful view on Aluminé lake. The breakfast buffet is well served and permanently replaced. The only complaint is the orange juice, an artificial liquid, with little resemblance to any fruit, but on the other hand there is always a good fruit salad. There are not many public areas inside to sit down and read, but comfortable chairs are available on the outside terraces on several levels, if weather permits. There is a free coffe-tea-water table available the whole day for the guests. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a restaurant yet, which means that you have to go out for dinner, which is good if you want to try local restaurants, but not so much if you arrive back tired after a long excursion. Still, they have an enlargement of the hotel planned, including a restaurant for...
Read moreWe arrived late in the afternoon at Villa Pehuenia and we were having difficulty in finding accommodation due to peak summer holidays in Argentina. A helpful local recommended Hotel Peninsula de los Coihues. First impressions were excellent, the owner was charming and very helpful, then we saw a room. The view of the lake from our room was simply fabulous, large windows displayed an amazing panoramic view of the lake and mountains opposite. The view alone made us check in immediately. After just one day, nice breakfast, helpful owner we decided to extend our stay to four days. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, quiet and peaceful, we were pleased with our choice of Hotel. We could have stayed for a lot longer, in fact it was very difficult to move on as we really did not want to leave. This hotel is great value and simply has the best location and view. I would highly recommend staying here but be warned as leaving this peaceful, charming and wonderful hotel is the hardest part of any stay. John and...
