If I could have re-arranged my visit to Salta I would have stayed in Posada la Casona everything single day. ||||The hotel is a family-owned business and the facilities are pristine clean and the location is absolutely perfect (only two blocks away from the main plaza). What truly makes Posada la Casona special is the amazing hospitality of the family who owns the place. We were constantly greeted with the most kind conversations and kind actions on the part of the owners. We stayed 7 nights - central, walking distance of Balcarce and many restaurants/bars; also the main square (and street-side money changers who give significantly better rates). Room on second floor with balcony overlooking the street, no elevator but owner kindly carried my heavy suitcase - some of the rooms have 4 beds for families. Llarge, old family house and owners are super-helpful, friendly, and professional making us feel very welcome, even providing early breakfast on the day of our trips. Little English spoken but we all managed to communicate with a little help from Google translate. Two taxi ranks almost outside the door for transport to bus or airport.
