For: 1. great central location, 2. it's half the price of the Holiday Inn and Los Silos. 3, the place has history, former President Raul Alfonsín (no doubt other more shady types too) stayed there during the constitutional convention at the start of 90s. 4. the room was reasonably clean.||||Against: 1. the hotel hasn't seen a lick of paint for decades or any other kind of maintenance either. The wood in the frame of our room's door was , quite literally, falling off in rotten pieces, 2. the wifi doesn't work, or at least it didn't in our room. the staff shrugged on being informed of this. 3. the breakfast is horrible, mean and scant. 4. if you're a light sleeper, be warned, there are odd gurgling sounds from the plumbing and the groan and shudder of some kind of heating/energy system in the building that will keep you awake.5. there is no secure storage in the rooms and the "hotel safe" doesn't work at the weekends so you leave your laptop in the room and hope...
