The location is very conveniently right next to the main railway station from where you can get to the centre in about 10 min by subway. The neighborhood is quite peaceful. The Erebuni ruins are just 15 min walk away from the hotel. Remember, in Yerevan most of the sights and to-do's are within walking distance or close to the centre so you really want to stay either at the centre or near the subway.||||The staff was really friendly and helpful. They for ex. arranged a taxi from and to the airport and made sure that they charged me reasonably (taxi ride was 4000AMD/7,5€ one way). Breakfast was served by one of the owners(?) and was sufficient enough including a warm dish, bread, yoghurt, tea. The staff speaks relatively good english and is able to arrange a driver to give you tours around the city or the country even.||||Room was clean and comfortable, with a clean bathroom (patience with the shower, it needs a few minutes;). The A/C could've worked a little better and a some noise from the street at night. Other than that I can't complain about anything.||||The hotel has a free Wi-Fi which worked fine, much better than the few public Wi-Fi's that were available in the city. You might want to arrange cash for the payment though as the connections may not work properly. There's an ATM right by the railway station.||||In overall a very nice hotel not far from the centre, great value...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel during my first trip to Yerevan and chose to book it again for my recent visit; however, my experience this time was quite disappointing.
There were numerous issues with the hotel that I feel compelled to mention. First, we were a group of four, each with at least one piece of luggage. Despite informing the hotel of our party size and the amount of luggage we had, they sent a Toyota Camry to pick us up from the airport. In what world is that an appropriate vehicle for transporting passengers and their luggage?
Upon arrival at the hotel, I was asked to pay for the entire stay upfront by cash, citing that the hotel's credit card reader was broken and couldn't process payments. While I understand technical issues can arise, it seems suspicious that this would be the protocol to avoid paying credit card processing fees. Additionally, after we checked out, the hotel reported us as a "No Show" on Booking.com to avoid paying their commission. What do you call that?
There were also other shortcomings, such as the low quality and limited variety of the breakfast. The hotel lobby had a delivery business that created a crowded environment, making it difficult for guests to navigate. These issues, among others, significantly...
Read moreI traveled alone and arrived in Yerevan by minibus from Tbilisi. 4 PM and no advance reservations, Travel advisor led me to the SD hotel near the station. I entered a plush and impressive lobby and was greeted by a cheerful receptionist. She informed me that the the only room left was the De Lux room and was only available the one night. She quoted a rate of 20,000 Dram and I asked her to please let me know if there might be any cancelations for the following nights. Sadly there were none as I was shown an extremely spacious and clean Room with a double bed and an additional single in the sitting room of the suite. Two televisions, two bathrooms and two Air conditioner units made me regret I traveled alone as this room was made for a family. My basic requirements were all there, HOT shower, wifi and breakfast. A minor inconvenience for me was there is no minibar. A nearby rotisserie chicken joint with soft drinks and water for sale. made up for this |The hotel has no lift and the top is four flights up. The metro station to city center is a short walk. |I recommend advance booking as the next few nights were spent in the city center, equally pleasant but nearly...
