Loka Santi Jeannette and I have returned home yesterday after a 4 night stay at Loka Santi unit 14, from 13/03/2018 to 17/03/2018
We have to make some comments of this, our 2nd stay at your establishment. All are not very complimentary for so-called 4 star rating.
Faulty lights in the balcony that flashed randomly like strobe-lights day and night, so annoying that we had to draw the heavy curtains to be able to sleep. An electrician was called in to disconnect these lights, a task that should have been done before our arrival as the fault was known to management.
No cups and saucers are provided for some civilized tea or coffee drinking, just heavy, thick mugs that would be more at home in a worker canteen.
No tin-opener in the kitchen, we had to use a knife to open a can of asparagus.
Heavy stains on the bedroom carpet on both sides of the bed.
None of the ceiling extractor fans are working except in the 2nd bathroom that was locked and opened upon our request.
No bed-side radio/clock, we think is a must for the star rating
No instruction manuals are provided for the appliances, especially the washing machine, we had to call reception who came up and got the front-loader working by slamming the door so hard that the whole machine moved backward towards the wall. Not quite our idea to operate a washing machine.
And much more annoying, the fact that there are no light mesh curtains or mosquito-screens fitted anywhere in the unit, we were stung by ravenous mosquitoes all night, and only a heavy coating of repellent over all of our bodies let us sleep somewhat the following nights, we had no benefit otherwise from the soothing sound of the waves on the beach, after all, that is what we came here-for.
Pity is that we have no benefit from our list above. Possibly, if the points are taken aboard by management, future guests might be more satisfied, and the 4-star rating a bit more accurate.
Also to mention is the parking rule: no V8 vehicles in the building car park, they must park outside, but guess what, we were woken up by the start-up and running of a V8 that roared for over 20 minutes, possibly whilst being loaded up, at 4.45 AM !! And we were up on the 3rd floor! The on-site management surly must have heard this too, but no action was taken. Apartment owners perhaps? Would they not also have to obey some common rules which are in place? Can they roar V8'ts, throw parties and ignore the paying guests of other apartments??? One wonders.

Read moreWe had such a wonderful stay here. As a group of 6 young backpackers, we dont always get a warming welcome at some accomodations but this was absolutely outstanding! The service and kindness we recieved from the hosts was far beyond our expectations. And the apartment was great value for money, luxurious, clean and fresh rooms equipped with everything you need and everything works perfectly. The neighborhood was nice and quiet with just a short stroll down to the beach. I simply gotta say that this was our best accomodation so far on our 3 months travelling australia. They can easily organize pickup from town (where the greyhound buses are) if you just call them in advance and let them know your arrival time. Highly...
Read moreWe recently stayed here for a family holiday with young children & absolutely loved the homely feel about it. We entered the apartment to find a gorgeous bottle of red wine and relaxing music playing, it really created a warm welcome. It's the little things.
Plenty of room, great WiFi, loved the SMEG kitchen appliances.
Very clean, quiet and peaceful, with only the sounds of the ocean and birds.
The bedding was extremely comfy and that's the no lie as I'm pregnant and had no joint pain at all.
Management was fantastic to deal with, especially during covid.
I highly recommend to families who prefer a relaxing holiday with...
