4 star motel that should be a 2 star, it's nothing but a glorified formula 1, you can stay in surfers paradise for exactly the same as here, the photos make this place look much better than what it is. The entire place is non smoking except for a dedicated smoking area with cracked and broken 10year old plastic patio furniture. Their idea of a flatscreen is laughable, extremely basic. The only thing it actually has going for it is its literally right next to the motorway. The bathroom is tiny, that small you can't open shower door properly as it hits toilet, the beds look nothing like what's pictured, it's more like a 70s colour theme gone wrong, the view is trees. Parking is ok. The optional breakfast for $15 you are better off going to woolworths and buying yourself for $6, gardens around the place are nothing to be admired. Cleanliness definitely needs to be stepped up as dust all over the vanity around sink, built up dust and grime between vanity and shower. The bench seat thing whatever I is, is literally taped to the wall as it has evidently fallen away. A communal laundry room that I didn't even enter but swear it looks like coin operated walls around building has cracks. The ONLY thing this place has going for it is if your desperate for a nights sleep and the location being literally just off the motorway. (Motorway robbery at its finest) highly suggest do your research and find...
Read moreWe booked the conference room of the Rocklea International Motel in September 2023 for a simple wedding reception. The price was very reasonable and affordable for the service they gave us! They provided all the cutleries, plates, some wine glasses, some table cloths, mugs/cups and tea/coffee/milk. We also didn't have to clean afterwards as they did this all for us. We hired a decorator and the staff at the motel kept everything for us ready for the decorator to pick up the next morning. Although the conference seemed small, the addition of the courtyard adjacent to it made it look bigger and much brighter than expected. We were able to fit approximately 40 people in the conference room AND courtyard. The whole set up was beautiful.
However, what's better than the conference room was the exceptional staff's service. It was excellent and they were very helpful and accommodating to our needs. I would recommend this place for any of your function needs.
We didn't stay in any of their rooms so I cannot rate it.
Thank you so much, Claire and everybody who helped us make a special occasion...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed for a night in transit and we had a pleasant stay. The positives, good value for the tariff, very friendly staff, great toiletries, including body wash, shampoo and conditioner, pod coffee and not sachets of instant. Lovely shower over bath with almost instant hot water. The bed was brilliant, not too hard or soft. We both had no trouble falling asleep. The room was extremely quiet with no road or train noise at all due to double glazing. There were a couple of slight negatives though, firstly the rooms are on the 1st floor and no elevator so had to carry bags up stairs. There is only one power point in the main room which is above the bench on the opposite side of the room to the bed. As my wife has a cpap machine it was a bit of a stretch. Also difficult if you have to charge devices. The other negative was that on the weekend there is only the hotel across the road for food within walking distance. We did find a great noodle place in Sherwood about 5 or so mins drive. All in all we did have a peaceful night, would stay again and would...
