Has plenty of on site parking and easy to get to from Ipswich road or with a bit of patience via the freeway. Weekend Roadside parking is available but you can be up for a walk. However, if you are unfamiliar with the approaches you can get caught with misdirection. Also do this for departure too as there are underpasses and one way streets to navigate around or use. Once known, you'll be fine. Best to use Google maps or navigation to do a dry run first to get yourself familiar with it. Or go old school with a refidex! On specific open days (swap meets, collectorville, etc) there are usually a few coffee and food (hot & sweet treats) caravans, with undercover eating areas and a typical showgrounds wine & spirit bar (wet canteen).. Be careful on hot days as you can...

Health workers: Amazing - super smooth once you get in line.

Outside organisation / line director: Useless and dismissive.

The staff member who was directing where to wait was pushing away priority workers to the outskirts of the lines. I was trying to explain that I was a priority worker to him, and he replied, “that means nothing to me”. I work in disability care, and me and a teacher were waiting with no direction for over an hour before we had to jump into a time slot line ourselves to ask someone else. When we arrived at check in, we were put through immediately with no issue.

Pretty poor form for direction, but everyone...

Went to the Heritage Truck Show at the Rocklea showground today. Even for non- truck people, it was seriously interesting and well worth the $5 admission fee. There were a lot of trucks, and obviously some extremely old ones like the yellow 1914 Fiat with fluid drive and solid rubber tyres. The paintwork on these bohemoths is jaw dropping and one had an American Indian on the door and finely detailed art was awesome. Heaps of food trucks but the lineup to get served was long. The local school benefits from the $5 parking fee which must be a huge help financially, but also makes parking and getting to...

This is truly the best medium-sized oval in Brisbane, and that's saying something because the Mount Gravatt one is decent as well. The recent Chrysler car show was incredible and they really went well out to get a good selection of cars new and old there. The food vendors were great and those donuts are fantastic. Parking is fine and the amenities are clean, too.

Just visited here on Sunday for a car show and pinup pageant. It is old. But it has charm too. I am not sure of the history but it has a cool circular track and a "Rocklea" sign. It has a nice feel of being in a regional town for a bush dance or car derby and it is only 15mins from the city along Ipswich Road.
