Canberra park wasn't pleasant in my opinion. By the way I am talking about the school camp, not the caravan park.

The location was ok but not great. Not too far from the city centre but not very central.

The food wasn't great. It was edible - not raw, nor containing any nails or hair. While the waffles were amazing, food such as the bolognese and hashbrown was dry and very average. The food was mostly mediocre overall.

The dorm rooms were bad. The beds were squeaking every time I moved a bit. A few of the screws were loose. The bed on one of the bunks were bent at a significant angle. But the sheets were OK and the bed was a reasonable size.

The toilet and shower doors didn't have a lock. There was not much of a way of stopping the water from exiting the shower area, only a little ramp, which was annoying when my clothes fell off the hook and onto the wet floor inside the shower. The bathroom was overall quite clean though.

A few more issues with the dorm room includes our one and only keycard has to be outside our dorm door at all times which is annoying because anyone from our group could just open the door and walk into our room at any time and/or take the keycard off the hook (luckily those didn't happen to me). Also there wasn't much room for our four suitcases to be in the room comfortably. We kinda had to squeeze them into spots so that we can have a walkway. It would've been worse if we had a messy room mate.

The foyer outside of our dorms were spacious but had limited seating and we could only go inside the foyer with a teacher which could be annoying waiting for one out in the cold. Also the air-conditioning was good.

In conclusion I would not recommend staying here if you want to have a pleasant experience. The food is average, the location is OK and the...

The park has accom for (read somewhere) up to 400 in groups. While we stayed in van 8 bus loads arrived & last night 9. It has 40 rooms for group leaders & sep accom for bus drivers. They have a meals room with chef & conference rooms. There are about 73 sites for vans, all lined up like a caravan sales yard, most on concrete slabs. The vans are next to open acreage leaving no respite from weather. If it's wet, you'll cop it. If it's hot, there are no trees or pool. Even in outback Renner Spring & Wauchope homesteads there were beautiful new pools. There is nowhere in the office to grab that bread you forgot up the street or to buy an icecream. There is a lovely camp kitchen with outdoor dining area, but the outdoor area has no roof, again, open to the elements. The amenities as you would expect were modern & with the shower head 10' off the ground, you could be forgiven for thinking you would have to run between the drops to get wet. We have moved south. Already someone asked "did you stay in the concrete jungle?" There are no bbq's scattered around or seating under trees, oh forgot, no trees. If you stay, ask for a site at the bottom of the park because of the noise of buses departing/arriving & overkill of lighting in park. This is a lovely park to park your van while you sightsee but has no caravan park atmosphere & offers nothing. met a few people at clothes line who remarked not returning. In 18 months living in our van this is the most badly designed new park. Upon check in, staff were lovely but we never saw anyone else. Wouldn't say don't stay,...

Expensive sites, but that seems to be Canberra caravan parks in general. The caravan park is fairly new so lacks greenery, and the way the planting is done, is always going to lack shade. Plenty of room whether it is a drive through slab, or a back in one. No pool which is unfortunate, but there is plenty of room to expand their current facilities whether it is a pool, playground etc.

The location is makes accessing Canberra very convenient and easy. Park is nice and quiet, well lit at night. Amenties are kept very clean, but showers are poorly designed i.e your things are going to get wet in the change area of the shower. Camp kitchen is incredibly well appointed, with plenty of room and facilities, and once again, kept very clean.

When I first enquired about booking here, Hayley was very very helpful. When I did book, and speak to another staff member, I was given incorrect information re. paying. Even though the written stuff in the email was sent out, I took the word of the staffer when I booked. What I was told did not happen and created what I considered to be a very serious issue. The park manager immediately contacted me (the receptionist had told him I was not happy), on a public holiday which was good of him to do, and unexpected, He was very good, and listened to my concerns. I realise this is a staff training matter that will hopefully be...

Well we had a fantastic time here at this park. We stayed for just over 3 weeks. The staff were friendly and helpful and most accommodating. The manager was very good and kind to us and nothing was an issue. We travel in a large bus and the sites were more than big enough for our coach with the car trailer on the back! Lots of site, brand new and clean amenities, drive through sites and security gates. It is close to everything but out of the way so very spacious and quiet. I will stay here another time as the staff are very good and we felt welcome and enjoyed our time in Canberra. Only one thing I can think of and it didn't apply to us as it was winter when we visited and that is that as it is all newly built there is not yet any trees. So if you are looking for a shady site in the Summer you won't find it as the sites do not have trees, similarly though if you are driving a big rig this is a plus as you don't have to navigate obstacles to get in and set up. Thanks David and Donna you made our stay!! Take care and see you next time : )

We only stayed 1 night on a powered slab and quite impressed with the site. Positive- New site Wifi and tv reception great Camp kitchen and amenities clean Big allocation spaces Dog friendly and big site to walk the dog No trees/shades but ok Washers and dryers all new, credit card operated and has a dedicated pet washer! All info like access to amenities and boom gate sent to you via sms. Booked on line easy peasy! There’s a dorm like cottages near the boom gate for day kiddie trippers visiting Canberra maybe but they stay in their own area and not really a bother. Negative- maybe not close to shops but not fussed so all good.
