This review relates to House 18.||||Well, this is our third visit to The Break so obviously we like it here. We've stayed in Houses 20, 21 and 18. ||||House 18 is two storeys with the master bedroom (Queen), ensuite, kitchen and lounge/dining upstairs and two more bedrooms (2 x twin beds each), a bathroom, separate toilet, laundry and additional lounge area. The house has a double garage, a drying court out the back, a deck with BBQ and a front courtyard.||||This house is very well stocked with everything you need from a crockery perspective in the kitchen. However, there are no condiments or food provided. The houses are all fully self-catering so its important to stop at a supermarket on the way to the house. We buy or bring a bit of everything to make it homely including cling wrap, foil, butter, etc.||||The Break townhouses are a 10 min walk from the beach which is about as close as you can get in Margaret River. The White Elephant cafe is nearby, the Prevelly general store is a 5 min drive away and you can get a drink/meal from The Common 5 mins walk away. Most nights you can walk/drive to Surfer's Point and eat from the food trucks there.||||From here you are equal distance from Dunsborough/Yallingup and Augusta and only 15 mins from Margaret River town. It's the best spot in the MR area in my view.||||Highly recommended if you are looking for family-sized accommodation near the beach.||||Note: If you need Queen-size beds in the second and third bedrooms then ask...
Read moreStayed in beach house number 14 in March 2017 for 4 nights. The place certainly has potential, but management seem to be doing a very poor job of ensuring the units are maintained. On arrival, TV did not work and there was no child gate for the stairs which were quite dangerous for children. A phone call to management had them respond fairly promptly, but the list of problems soon grew that it was ridiculous to be calling all the time to get things rectified. ||Problems included: 2 out of 3 kitchen lights not working, no exterior/entry/garage lights working, torn fly screens and torn screen door in entry, bedroom window frame on ground level literally falls apart if opened, broken TV in bedroom, broken turn table in microwave, very large area of water damage and missing plaster in ensuite, missing cover for bathroom exhaust fan, broken window blinds, etc etc.||The cleaning staff seem to be equally apathetic. The tiled areas were not clean (black feet within minutes of walking on the tiles), spider webs in light recesses/window frames/wall corners, and stained carpets.||To make it even worse, paid for a house with outdoor spa and did not get to use it as it was broken.||Management needs to be more proactive in checking the condition of the property, ensuring things are functional, and monitoring the standard to which cleaning staff...
Read moreWe were able to spend an overnight stay in one of the units in this cluster of beach houses. We were pleasantly surprised to find it fully equipped with sundries, cutlery and beddings...It was also situated not close to the busier side of town..but closer to the water..on the higher side...||||The unit was big enough for a family of 6 or 8. Would highly recommend for families who want to get away from the hassles of the city, without losing the conveniences of modern living. They have the necessary appliances in case you'd like to cook for the family.||||There is a tavern that is walking distance from the units, in case you don't feel like cooking.||||We would have loved to stay longer...we will be...
